Some important dates to note:

Thursday 10th September: Loring Hall Volunteering.
We are looking for some volunteers to help remove and store the sight screen slats and remove the cover tops. If you can spare an hour or any time please go down to Loring Hall from 10am to help Mike Dixon. 🪵

Friday 11th September: Colts Presentation Night.
A lot to celebrate from our successful colts season where many individual awards are to be won. 🔥

Sunday 13th September: U19 Final vs Bromley.
Our U19’s have an early start on Sunday to go one better than last year in winning the U19 Cup. Come down to Manor Way to cheer them on for a cracking game. Followed by a friendly during the day. 🏆

Friday 18th September: Tea Lady Evening.
Our annual Tea Lady evening is here. To say thank you for our delicious teas all season, we need a steady trickle of players throughout the evening to serve food and drink. Our teas are the gold standard across Kent, so it’s important that there are many faces across the club to give back. 🎂

Saturday 19th September - Drink the Bar Dry & JR’s 40th.
The last night of the year where the bar will be serving alcohol before handover day, paired with Joe Russell’s 40th Birthday celebrations. 🎁

Friday 13th November: Adult Awards Evening.
A big night is pending, with details being confirmed, but save the date as we will be having our awards evening to celebrate all the achievements across the summer in our adults teams! 💥

As the season comes to a close, we have to say thank you and goodbye to our two overseas players, Zeph and Suni! It was a pleasure to have both of these fantastic players down at Manor Way this Summer, who were both never shy to get involved and making an impact on and off the field!

Suni flew back to South Africa a few weeks ago as she got recalled back for professional duties for the DP World Lions. She dominated the Women’s Premiership, being the highest run scorer in the league, with 1374 Runs at an average at 196!!! She scored 2 Double Hundreds as well as 3 Centuries and 7 Fifties. A true leader and role model to the rest of the Women’s team. 🇿🇦

Zeph made his way from Perth at very short notice and fitted in straight away. A player who is capable of changing the game in every way possible, whether that’s with the bat, ball or in the field. In the league he racked up 240 runs (Over 25% of them were scored from 6’s!) in 13 innings, with 2 Fifties and a highest score of 68*. He also took 15 Kent Premier League Wickets with numerous match winning spells. 🇦🇺

We wish both of these the very best in the winter and the future. And Zeph a safe flight home back to Perth in the next coming days.

Once a Ranger, always a Ranger.

Sunday sees 2 of our teams play in their respective finals. After finishing 2nd in the Kent Women’s Premier League, the Women’s 1st XI will face Tunbridge Wells (Away) in a 40 over game which starts at 11am. Meanwhile the Sunday Development Team skippered by Ollie Leek became undefeated in the league and will now face 2nd place Beckenham in a winner takes all match at Manor Way. Support is highly encouraged at both of these and good luck to everyone involved! 🥇

Yesterday saw our annual 6-a-Side take place where we had 6 teams competing for the prize. A great day with music playing and bbq fired up! Thanks to everyone who helped out and got involved and congratulations to the Super Mario Kart 8 team for winning the Grand Finale, a tense final which came down to the last ball! 🏆
