This week I will be celebrating 25 years as a black belt, I passed my Shodan on 26th November 2000, so I thought I'd go visit my old instructor, Sensei Colie Elgie of Shu Ho Ju Jitsu who is 9th Dan and and still teaching.

I took my original certificate with me, it felt like the day I got it, minus the 4hrs on the mat and all the aches and pains.

It was great to also catch up with Sensei Richard, Doug and Richard after all these years.

We have known each other for so many years and it's always been a pleasure to share the mat with these guys, they have always made time for me, as I have with them.

I've had the pleasure of training with so many people over the years, there's too many to mention them all, but over the course of this week, expect to see some more pics of old friends.

We introduced the junior Black belts to something new this week, defence against knife attacks using kicks.
