We are a West London Triathlon Club. Our head coach, James Beckinsale, started the team in 2000. No Egos, Everyone is welcome! Our membership is open all year.

Since its inception, the team has helped develop everyone from first timers to Olympians & consistently develops GB juniors. Optima Racing Team is a triathlon club suited to all abilities from beginners to elite athletes. We are a small (yet mighty) London based club with athletes of all ages. While membership numbers are not fixed, they are kept at a suitable level to ensure the quality of our se

ssions and the athlete/coach experience. Start of season race round-up 💥

It’s been a busy few weeks of racing for the team. Kirill, Steve, Simon and Rhiannon kicked things off with strong performances across the Manchester, Newport and London Marathons.

For our Youth, Junior and U23 athletes, the Super Series season is underway with races at Performance Assessments and Llanelli. Huge results from Tom taking the win in both youth races, and Leon leading out the swim in Wales.

Over in Italy, Andrew, Kirill and Roberto took on Challenge Cesenatico — a solid early-season hit out with strong performances from both athletes.

Last weekend also saw plenty of Optima athletes racing at Outlaw Nottingham, with great results from Alex, Rachel, Steve and Katherine .

A brilliant start to the season with lots more racing to come 💪🤙

Race Week 💥

The Juniors start the British Super Series off with performance assessments this weekend with a 400 TT on Saturday into a bike run on the Sunday.

Whilst and take on Manchester marathon and Simon is over in wales at the Newport marathon.

Top weekend of performances nobody focused on the outcome. Everyone focused on how much effort they can put in and do their best. 💪

Hi everyone, just to say that we are postponing the 25-year anniversary dinner until the New Year.

Big Weekend of racing 💥

Tom was selected to represent GB for the first time in European youth championships over in Austria 🇦🇹 . Following qualification into the A final on Friday he finished 11th and second Brit 😮‍💨. Lots of fun was also had on Sunday where team GB came 4th.

Over in Nice 🇫🇷 Aiden smashed world champs coming 13th in his Age group under very tough conditions and on one of the hardest Ironman courses. 💪

Back in UK we had a group of Optima athletes take on Weymouth 70.3 with Elizabeth taking 🥇 in her age group and strong performances from Lisa, Ashley, Beatrice and Jonny.

Travelling to Mallory park we had the final event in the super series with great racing from our juniors. Otis finished 7th Youth B with the fastest run, Zoe 11th Junior and Leon 26th Youth A .

Finally a huge congratulations to Ale who competed her first marathon smashing her goal of 3.30. Chloe also won the 10km the day before 💪

• .tri is racing World duathlon champs Saturday in Spain for Ireland

• is racing IM Les Sables D’Olonne

• is racing Olympic World qualifier in Cardiff on Sunday

• and are doing Box Hill tri on Sunday
