Louth Town 9 v 0 U13s
The under 13s travelled to Louth Town for our first game following promotion. The game was always going to be a tough assignment playing against a side who last season were playing in the top league in Grimsby.
As usual we adopted a 3-4-1 formation.
Louth took the game to us from the off and in truth dominated the half, scoring 6 unanswered goals.
Half Time 6-0
The talk at half time was, work hard, keep going, play for pride and do your best.
We came out and did just that, for 25 minutes we worked incredibly hard and kept the scoreline at 6-0. Louth then scored 2 excellent goals to make it 8-0 before scoring right at the end, when it was fair to say our lads were tired!
Full Time 9-0
No shame in today’s result, sometimes you have to take it on the chin and accept the other side are better. Fortunately goal difference isn’t a thing in mid lincs!
Our lads kept going, showed an
excellent attitude with no one giving up and that is worth its weight in gold.
Next week the side are in cup action at home to Boston Town

Burgh Town v U8s
Under 8s were away at Burgh Town, slow start but the boys grew into the game and played well in the last 20 minutes, edging a 5 goal thriller.
