Today, members of Lower Thames Rowing Club joined the Surfers Against Sewage Paddle Out in solidarity against the continued pollution of our waterways.

As rowers, we spend more time on the water than most. We see the sewage, the litter, the declining water quality j we are sick of it. Our rivers and seas should not be treated as dumping grounds while water companies continue to profit.

Clean water is not a luxury. It’s a right. For rowers, swimmers, paddlers, sailors, wildlife, and every community connected to our waterways.

We’re proud to stand alongside Surfers Against Sewage and everyone demanding accountability, transparency, and immediate action from the water companies polluting our waters.

Enough is enough.
Stop polluting our rivers.
Stop polluting our seas.
Protect the water we all rely on.

Saturday morning Row, with 3 crews rowing up Benfleet Creek and back to Two Tree Island. Followed by a group cycle ride to Hadleigh Park Hub Cafe for a refreshment stop. Then a few brave members did a lap of the Olympic mountain bike track! 🩵🚣🚴☀️
