An update on using the MXLR Slo-Mo Grease in place of silicone oil in the A12X damper ๐
๐ ๏ธ๐ฅ A12X Rear Damper x SLOW-MO Grease ๐ฅ๐ ๏ธ
After many questions regarding my last post โ> yes Iโm running the MXLR SLOW-MO Grease in the rear damper of the A12X as well, not just on the front kingpins ๐
My base was always 60K Silicone oil, which measured around 130-140 on my SkyRC Diff tester with the MXLR A12 Damper Check Adapter (MAX-02-005).
Here are the values I measured with the MXLR SLOW-MO Greases:
SLOW-MO 40K โก๏ธ 120-125
SLOW-MO 50K โก๏ธ 135-140
SLOW-MO 60K โก๏ธ 155-160
SLOW-MO 70K โก๏ธ 185-190
SLOW-MO 80K โก๏ธ 215-220
I didnโt build dampers with lower available viscosity like 25K or 30K, as so soft is normally not needed for my program, but itโs definitely an option if needed.
Important notice โ> always make sure to use either a bit more than too less grease (same counts for oil as well!) to ensure its fully packed! Otherwise you will meet inconsistency from side to side. The โtoo muchโ applied grease will squeeze out on top during the build and can be put back in the jar.
