A battle of 2 vs 2 from The Manor Gc took place at Leeds Golf Club, with no shots given either way!

On paper, this should have been a straightforward one…

The Pro shop team, Lewis Duggan & Richard Hedley — playing every week, fully warmed up, clubs permanently in hand. 🏌️‍♂️

The Greenkeepers, Joe smith & Lee Greveson— who had played about 6 rounds between them all year. 🌱

What could possibly go wrong?

Well… absolutely everything for the Pros. 🤣

It was a proper tight affair, with neither side willing to give an inch. Despite the obvious advantage of actually playing golf regularly, the Pros somehow found themselves being dragged into a battle all the way to the 17th hole.

And then, to the disbelief of absolutely everyone…

🏆 GREENKEEPERS WIN 2&1! 🏆

The Pros can now go back to playing every week and working out where it all went wrong…

While the Greenkeepers can return to their usual routine of playing once every six months and somehow expecting to win everything.

Well played, lads! 👏⛳️

Bradford District Ad Team Championship at Branshaw today and a fantastic effort by our three amigos.

Mark Weighman, Josh Ridgeway and Chris Sugden performed valiantly to finish 5th out of 18 teams.

Scratch Team Captain Chris said after the round "Im really proud of our entire team this year and this result shows we mean business next year."

We’re delighted to share that our scratch team have secured promotion to Division 1 next season having finished 2 to division winners Northcliffe.

In a season which featured two new comers in Harvey and Charlie. We have had consistently good results both home and away.

Harvey wins the rookie of the year award gaining 10 points from his 7 matches. While Josh Ridgeway has once again come out as the top dog, playing in 9 matches with 8 wins and 1 half. Brining his unbeaten streak to 14 matches across two years, a truly impressive performance, one which earns him a special post match plate of salmon which pleased him.

Very proud of all the team’s efforts this season. Looking forward to the challenges to come next year. Play well!
