✨ STUDENT SPOTLIGHT ✨

It’s time for another Meet The Dancer at ICON and this week, we’re shining the spotlight on Halle 💗

If I had to describe Halle in ONE word, it would be RESILIENT🩷

Halle is proof that you can knock someone down, throw obstacles in their way and make things difficult… but you cannot take away the determination of a child who refuses to give up.🥹🔥

Dance isn’t always easy. There are good days, hard days, moments of frustration, things that don’t go to plan and times when you have to dig a little deeper to find that determination to keep going. In the competitive dance world it’s even harder - when we first started comps she was the one not making finals and sat cheering her friends on whilst they danced their finals but turning up at class the next day working harder than ever🥲👊🏼

That’s what makes her journey so special.

It’s not about being perfect. It’s not about getting the results first try. It’s about picking yourself up, dusting yourself off and having another go, even when things feel hard and you want to give up. And Halle embodies that spirit. ❤️

The strength it takes to keep showing up, keep trying and keep pushing forward when things aren’t always going your way is something to be incredibly proud of.

And that’s what we want for every single child who walks through the doors at ICON. Yes, we want them to become amazing dancers, but we also want them to develop the confidence, resilience and belief in themselves to take on whatever life throws at them. 🩷

Because those qualities will take you SO much further than dance ever could.

Halle, we hope you know just how proud we are of you. Not just for what you achieve, but for the determination and strength you show along the way.

Never underestimate how strong you are, Halle. Keep fighting, keep believing in yourself and keep showing the world what you’re made of❤️‍🔥

💗🖤 EXCITING NEWS… ICON IS GROWING! 🖤💗

We’ve got something exciting in the works at ICON Dance Academy… 👀✨

From January, we’ll be expanding into a SECOND VENUE as we continue to grow our ICON family! 🥹💗

Our aim has always been about more than just dance. It’s about creating a welcoming community where children can build confidence, make friends, learn new skills and, most importantly, feel like they belong. 🫶🏼

We’re so proud of the little community we’ve built so far in LS10, and we can’t wait to open our doors to even more children and families in the new year in a new area! 💕

We’re keeping the details under wraps for now… but trust us, there’s more to come! 👀🤫

💗✨ PROGRESS SPOTLIGHT – EVIE! ✨💗

Just look at the improvement in Evie’s splits! 😍👏

Starting your dance journey at 15 is no easy thing, and stepping into the world of competitive freestyle dance is a whole different level! 💪🔥 The flexibility, technique, strength and determination it takes can be challenging, but Evie is putting in the work and it’s paying off!

We are SO proud of the progress she’s making! 🥹💗 Every little improvement is a step forward, and watching her develop, push herself and improve week by week is exactly what dance is all about.

Never think you’re too old to start something new, and never underestimate what you can achieve when you put your mind to it! Yes we know 15 is young but when most kids start dance at 4,5,6 it’s not young in dance terms! ✨

Keep going, Evie! We can’t wait to see how far you go, and we’re so proud to be part of your dance journey! 🖤💗

Progress comes from practice, patience and putting in the work, even when the moves are tricky! 💪🏼 These girls are putting the effort in and we love to see it! 🖤💗

✨ STUDENT SPOTLIGHT ✨

It’s time for another Meet The Dancer at ICON! 💗

This week we’re introducing you to our lovely Maddie 🥹🩷

Maddie actually joined ICON after we taught some dance sessions at her primary school - and we are SO glad she decided to come along and continue dancing with us! 🥰

From the moment she joined, Maddie has been an absolute pleasure to teach.

She is ALWAYS smiling, always happy to be dancing and, most importantly, she is ALWAYS trying her best. 💗

And there is one other very important thing we need to mention…

Maddie somehow has a better memory for our routines than I do! 😂😂

There have been MANY moments where my brain has completely forgotten what comes next and Maddie is there happily carrying on like she knows exactly what she’s doing. 🤣👏🏼

She might not be a competition dancer, but that doesn’t make her commitment or progress any less important. Dance is about so much more than trophies and medals. It’s about confidence, enjoyment, learning new skills, making friends and simply loving what you do. ❤️

And Maddie brings SO much of that to ICON.

She gives everything a go, listens, learns and keeps trying - all while managing to have a massive smile on her face! 🥰

Watching her grow in confidence and develop as a dancer has been such a pleasure, and we absolutely love having her as part of our ICON family. 🩷

Maddie, keep smiling, keep trying and keep being the lovely dancer you are. We’re very lucky to have you! ✨
