💚💛 A PROUD MOMENT FOR GREENLANE CC! 🏏💜

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of meeting with representatives from the Alzheimer’s Society to officially hand over a cheque for an incredible £903! 👏💷

This fantastic amount was raised through our Mums vs Kids Charity Day, an event that brought our cricket family and local community together for a brilliant cause.

We would like to say a massive THANK YOU to our fantastic event sponsors:

💚💛 THANK YOU FROM EVERYONE AT GREENLANE CC 💚💛

As we bring the curtain down on the 2026 season, we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported Greenlane Cricket Club throughout the year. 🏏

To our players, captains, coaches, committee members, volunteers, sponsors, supporters, families and everyone who has helped behind the scenes — your time, effort and continued support is what makes our club what it is.

There have been plenty of great moments and memories made both on and off the field this season, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of it.

Now we look ahead with plenty of excitement and ambition for what’s to come.

A massive thank you to all the juniors who have attended our sessions throughout the year. It’s been brilliant seeing everyone enjoying their cricket, improving and having fun along the way! 🙌

🎙️🏏 BUMBLE IS COMING TO GREENLANE! 💚💛

We’re delighted to announce that the one and only David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd will be joining us at Greenlane Cricket Club for what promises to be a fantastic evening!

Bumble is one of cricket’s most recognisable and entertaining personalities. A former Lancashire and England cricketer, England coach and long-serving broadcaster, he has spent decades at the heart of the game.

Known for his unmistakable humour, brilliant storytelling and countless tales from both on and off the field, Bumble became one of the most popular voices in cricket during his many years with Sky Sports. 🎙️🏏

Now he’s coming to The Lane! 🙌

Making the evening even more special, Bumble will be interviewed by Jonathan Doidge, lead commentator for the BBC’s coverage of Yorkshire cricket. 🎙️

With Jonathan asking the questions and Bumble providing the stories, expect a brilliant evening packed with cricket memories, behind-the-scenes tales, plenty of laughs and classic Bumble humour from an incredible career as a player, coach and commentator.

The Green Lane CC junior family is growing, and we’re already recruiting players for the 2027 season! 🙌

Whether your child has played cricket before or wants to pick up a bat or ball for the very first time, we’d love to hear from you.

🏏🇦🇺 FAREWELL MITCH & JESS – THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING! 🇦🇺🏏

Today we say goodbye to Mitch Brooker and his partner Jess as they head back home to Australia after an incredible season with us at Greenlane CC! 💚💛

Mitch has been a massive part of our success this year, producing some outstanding performances with both bat and ball and playing a huge role in helping our 1st XI secure the league title and promotion! 🏆
His final stats across all competitions speak for themselves:
🏏 845 RUNS
🔥 46 WICKETS
An unbelievable all-round contribution and a season to remember!
But it's not just his performances on the pitch that we'll miss. Mitch has been a fantastic addition to the club, a great teammate and a brilliant character to have around both on and off the field.
We'd also like to say a massive thank you to Jess for being part of the Greenlane family and for all her support throughout the season. It's been an absolute pleasure having you both around the club, and you'll certainly be missed!
From everyone at Greenlane CC, thank you for all your hard work, commitment and everything you've brought to the club this year.
We wish you both all the very best as you head back Down Under. Have a safe journey home, enjoy being back with family and friends, and remember you'll always have a home at The Lane! 💚
