🌸🐴 What a Saturday at the farm!

Our youth group rolled up their sleeves for a brilliant day of crafting with the wonderful — flower bashing (yes, literally bashing real petals into fabric! 🌼) to make our own one-of-a-kind tote bags, and turning old horseshoes into beautiful dream catchers. ✨🐎
But they didn't stop there. Our young people have taken over our Instagram AND our YouTube channel — so keep your eyes peeled for the brilliant content they've got coming your way. 🎥 This is their space now!

We're also so proud to share that they've just applied to FastForward's Youth Fund to create their very own gambling-awareness project — made by young people, for young people, to help others spot the risks and start the conversation. Watch this space. 💛

🐴 A summer of magical days on the Berwickshire coast — Pony Days are back at Eat Sleep Ride
Your child as a pony's person for a day. Riding, grooming, caring for the herd, learning the ways of horses from the ground up. Every child takes home a rosette. 🏆

Choose your session:
☀️ Half Day · £50 — 10.30am to 1.30pm (one ride)
🌞 Full Day · £65 — 10.30am to 3.30pm (two rides + liberty work)
Cost shouldn't be a barrier — subsidised places available, just ask us when you book.

📅 Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays through the summer holidays
📍 Quarry Farm, Lamberton (just up the coast from Berwick)

It's 💚

Everything you see at Eat Sleep Ride was built by people who gave their time for free. 90+ volunteers. Over 2,435 hours. A former landfill turned into an off-grid sanctuary for horses and people.

You dug, you planted, you painted, you mucked out in the wind and the rain (and the odd bit of sunshine) — and never asked for anything back.
This wee video is for you. Thank you doesn't feel big enough, but thank you — from all of us, and every horse on this land. 🐴

This weekend we're joining The Big Do — and we'd love your help!
Come along to Eat, Sleep, Ride on this coming Saturday for Let's Get Crafty with Jag Arts at the yurt, 12–2pm. A relaxed afternoon of arts and crafts, plus a lovely community lunch kindly catered by Courtney.

And as part of The Big Help Out, we're rolling up our sleeves in our community garden — so bring your gardening gloves! We'd love some extra pairs of hands for a bit of weeding, planting and tidying. Or simply come to craft, chat and share food. Every pair of hands helps our garden, and our community, grow.

Bring the family, bring a friend, and join us out at our off-grid site near Berwick. Everyone welcome — no need to book.

Some days it's hard to explain what this life actually is.
You're always the CEO Keeping 21 horses alive, 3 chickens, 10 staff and a team of volunteers all going.

And then yesterday evening, the storm came.
I sat for two hours in the portacabin through lightning, thunder and intense rain, because of where we are. I couldn't get to the horses — too dangerous to even drive across the site.

So I watched them. And here's the thing about a herd: out in that storm, they do what they always do — they gather around their young and their vulnerable, and the leaders take up their positions around them. That's why they're safer outside together than shut inside. There's a real beauty in watching it.

When I finally could get out, I was crawling around in the mud to clear the drain — the water coming down almost like a landslide — just to get the flood moving. I was still sweeping up at half ten at night before I could even think about getting home.

That's the job. CEO one minute, on my knees in the mud the next. The horses, the storm, the worry — and somehow, the beauty of it too. I wouldn't swap it. 🐴
