Empire Dance Scotland started running dance classes for children aged 1-16 in Eyemouth in 2022.

As of 6th October 2024, the dance school has now been taken over by GS Academy of dance and is no longer run by Empire.

Classes still run on Tuesdays and Saturdays at Eyemouth Parish Church - but are now operated by GS Academy of Dance, rather than Empire Dance Scotland.

Our original empire dancers 🥹🥰

These 5 dancers all started with us on our first day of classes on February 26th 2022! Read below to see where they are now!

💜Evie-Rose started with us in Mini Biscuits on our very first day of classes in February 2022. She’s gone from a shy wee girl who didn’t like dancing in front of people, to a show superstar - performing with confidence last weekend in Whatever the Weather!

💜Thea started with us in Jelly Tots on our very first day of classes in February 2022. She now attends Mini Biscuits & Mini Hiphop and has blossomed into a beautiful ballerina with lots of sass!

💜Lola started with us in Mini Biscuits on our very first day of classes in February 2022. She’s now on an unlimited pass as she attends so many classes! Lola is dancing 4.5 hours a week with us, attending Lyrical, Hiphop, Acro, Tap, Jazz, Ballet & Contemporary. She is improved massively over the past 2 and a half years, and can now perform advanced skills that we never could’ve imagined on her first day!

💜Ava started with us in Jelly Tots on our very first day of classes in February 2022. She was super tiny but it was evident she loved dancing, even from such a young age. Ava now attends mini biscuits, mini hiphop, mini Acro and lyrical - she excels in all her classes, but she was especially beautiful in her lyrical show dance last weekend!

💜Evelyn started with us in Baby Sprinkles on our very first day of classes in February 2022. She was the tiniest little dancer, holding her mum’s hand because she’d just learned to walk!! Evelyn has come up all the way through Baby Sprinkles and Jelly Tots, and is now in Mini Biscuits! She’s the smiliest dancer and we loved watching her perform last weekend!

We can’t wait to see their progress going forwards 🥰

As our dancers & their families know, we have taken the decision to step down and pass on our dance school to Miss Gayle. ❤️

It’s been a crazy 2 and a half years creating something so special, and we’ve loved working with so many brilliant students & their families.🥰

We can’t wait to see our dancers continue to thrive with and we are grateful to have found someone who has the same passion and drive to carry on building what we started.

This week will be our last week of ownership of the school, so please continue to contact us in all the usual ways until Saturday. From Sunday (7th October) we’ll pop an automated response on our social media, emails and website to let you know how to contact Miss Gayle. She’ll also be in touch over the holidays with lots of information.

We’ll of course let you know when Baby Costello arrives and will arrange to come down and visit too! Thank you so much for your support over the past 2 and a half years, we can’t wait to see what you all get up to next!

We are holding a bake sale on Saturday at Eyemouth Parish Church to raise money for our upcoming showcase.

If you’d like to drop off any baking, you can do this between 9 and 9:30am at Eyemouth Parish Church.

If you’d like to purchase some goodies, please come along between 10am and 3pm!
