Curling superstar Eve Muirhead is speaking at the Borders Book Festival. Eve led Britain's women's curling team to Olympic gold in Beijing 2022, as well as being a Scottish champion and winning World titles at junior level, women's and mixed doubles. Tickets are on sale now for her appearance on Thursday 11th June at 5pm

The Beacons present the 3rd annual Border Bash - Women's Ball Hockey fun tournament day hosted at the iconic Border Ice Rink!

All welcome aged 14+ whether you play ball or ice hockey week in week out, or you've never picked up a stick. Mixed teams and lots of fun guaranteed.

£20 to include awards and food at the end!

Not to be for Andrew, Callum and Team Reed at the World Championship pre-qualifier in Ljubljana with defeat this morning to Finland seeing them bow out in the semi-finals. Sunday's win over Serbia marked the 200th appearance for Andrew Reed in England colours, the first person to achieve that feat for the ECA English Curling Association. We are reliably informed his first cap came at the World Juniors Champs in 1998, congratulations Andrew on a career spanning four decades! 📸 Luka Rifelj
