✈️ Come Fly With Me ✈️
On 8th March, Autastic Club 🌈♾️ were invited along to Glasgow Airport to take part in a "Travel Rehearsal" day run by the very Prestigous Emirates Airlines - the very first of its kind here in Scotland with the aim being to assist individuals with Additional support Needs and their accompanying family/friends feel confident ahead of their next plain journey (look at us being history makers 🤣🤣)
We had the opportunity to experience a mock airport journey from cradle to grave - from check-in right through to the departure gate, including security and the arrivals process for immigration, passport control and baggage collection. We even got a wee shot of the bus around the runway 🤣 and our logo spread across the check in desks 🙏❤️.
The Emirates and Glasgow Airport team who guided us through the experience were wonderful - they couldnt have done anymore for us if they tried ❤️
I suppose you could say we were treated like royalty 👑
Finishing off our visit with an impressive buffet and gifts for the children. We even caught the Emirates plane ✈️ arriving back into Glasgow - dont know about anyone else but I was majorly impressed with that 🤣🤣 and of course that they listened to our views of what else could be done to make the airport journey a little easier for families like ours .
It was a great day and we are super thankful to have been a part of it.
