🎯 ARMY DARTS – BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER THROUGH SPORT 🎯
A fantastic day of darts at Grantham on Saturday saw Army personnel from across the ranks and length of service come together for a great day of competition, camaraderie and, of course, some quality darts.
Lt Col Dave Matthews – DST Leconfield, 25 Regt – has returned to playing darts over the past 12 months, with the growing popularity of Army Darts reigniting his interest in the sport.
Since picking up the arrows again, Lt Col Matthews has introduced darts to ITT and permanent staff across DST, recognising not only the competitive element of the sport, but also the wider benefits it brings — from building confidence and improving arithmetic skills to providing an opportunity for personnel to socialise and connect.

Perhaps the biggest success of the day was the representation across the ranks and experience levels.
From a Private Soldier with just 12 months' service, through to a Lt Col with over 30 years' service, the event also welcomed players competing in their first-ever in-person darts competition.
