🇨🇿🏸 Four Scottish players are set to take on international opposition this week as the Czech International Future Series gets underway in České Budějovice.
With valuable world ranking points and international experience on offer, our players will be looking to make their mark against a strong field from across Europe and beyond.
In Men's Singles qualifying, Angus Meldrum begins his campaign in the Round of 64, where he will face either Austria's Pascal Cheng or Czech home player Vojtěch Strejček as he bids to progress through to the main draw.
Finlay Jack has been handed a difficult opening assignment, taking on Denmark's Frederik Hinding, the 7th seed in qualifying and one of the leading young players in the field. A place in the next round awaits the winner as Jack looks to produce a strong performance against the talented Dane.
In Men's Doubles, Evan Kenny and Josh Taylor enter directly into Friday's main draw and will face Czech pair Vojtěch Strejček and Lukáš Thor. The Scottish duo will be aiming to make a positive start and build momentum in a competitive doubles field.
The Czech International Future Series has long been an important event on the European calendar, providing emerging players with the opportunity to gain valuable experience on the international stage while competing for crucial BWF ranking points.
