👏🏽 Player Of the Match 👏🏽

A huge congratulations to Scott, who was selected as our Player of the Match following Saturdays fixture home to Haddington!

Reflecting on the match, Scott said:

“A brilliant first meeting between both clubs after both our recent promotions from the regional leagues. It was tough to be down 12 to nil at half-time, but we dug deep in the second half to turn the result around. Proud of the character and belief shown by the lads.”

This week at Lenzie Rugby Club…

Another action-packed weekend is ahead, with plenty of rugby across the club! ❤️💙💛

Saturday gets underway with our Midis welcoming Helensburgh/Lomond to Viewfield, before the 2XV host Strathaven later in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, our Men’s 1XV are on the road as they head to Hamilton, looking to keep the momentum going and secure another win! 💪

On Sunday, our U18 Girls welcome Boroughmuir to Lenzie, while the U16s travel to Carrick. Our Women’s team also hit the road for the long trip to Stewartry.

🚨 MATCH RESULT 🚨

An unfortunate loss for the Women’s squad today against a strong Hills 2XV.

Lenzie got off to a flying start with two tries in the opening 10 minutes, before Hills responded with two tries of their own. Hills controlled possession for much of the game, but Lenzie kept battling and picked up the pace in the final 10 minutes, finishing strongly with another try.

A tough result, but plenty of positives to take from the performance!

A hard-fought battle against Haddington ends with Lenzie coming out on top! 💪🏽

After Haddington went into half-time with the lead, the boys dug deep. A bit of Scott Henry magic followed by a crucial penalty from Fish got Lenzie right back into the contest and helped secure that all-important first win of the season. 🔥

What a shift from the boys! 👏🏽

The Women’s team kick off their league campaign with a strong 22-player squad. Despite a few familiar names being unavailable, there’s plenty of quality ready to take to the pitch!

Vic Halstvedt steps into the captain’s role, with Morgan Lamont and Eva Galloway taking on vice-captain duties.
