Here at Biosphere Bikes we are committed to preventing waste and keeping bikes in circulation, we do this through refurbishing donated bikes and giving them a new lease of life. Not every bike that is donated to us is in a condition to be refurbished, for this reason we aren't able to accept every donation that comes through our shop doors.
We can’t accept a bike that has rusted solid, been abandoned, been left outside for more than a couple of months, or any electric bikes. The reason for this is that it costs us money to recycle parts such as metal and tyres.
Fortunately, you can take the bike to the Girvan tip for FREE to be disposed of appropriately.

Do you live in the KA26 area and want to ride a bike? We have the perfect thing for you!
Introducing the Community Bike Library: for a conventional bike it's just £20 a month, for an electric bike it's £40 a month. We’ll handle all maintenance, and if it breaks, we’ll fix or replace it.
Our library includes bikes for all shapes, sizes, and abilities. Come and find the bike that suits you! 🚴💚

Library Bikes will be available for collection from the Biosphere Bikes shop and community hub at 121a Henrietta Street, Girvan, KA26 0AE, on Wednesday to Saturday between 9 am and 2pm.

Difficult decision to know whether to open or not today.🤔

Checked a few weather apps and all saying we are looking at possible thunderstorms with heavy rain from about 12 noon onwards😔💦💦⚡⚡ so we will not be opening today. Back again next weekend hopefully weather permitting☺️
