Our Villa teams will be out across Garforth, proudly representing the club, knocking on the doors meeting local residents, and selling programmes for our upcoming Gala. 🌟

It's a Garforth Villa Football Club tradition and our special way of bringing football, families, and the community together while celebrating the people and businesses whose support helps our club thrive.

Every £3 programme sold supports the Gala, the club, and our current U12s players as they fundraise towards their international football tours next year. 🌍

Coaches and parents will be alongside the players, who are incredibly excited to get out and meet everyone.

June is Scoliosis Awareness Month! In support of this, we're supporting a brand-new campaign led by two of our very own Garforth Villa families. Their mission is to spread the word about what scoliosis is, how to check for the condition and support with next steps.

"This campaign is really close to our hearts as both of our daughters, Abbie and Hannah (a Villa player for a number of years) have had this condition and have both had spinal fusion surgery within 6 months of each other. Early detection is key to allow for various treatment options, but there is simply not enough information out there about what to look for. We aim to change that - we are in contact with various NHS agencies with a view to piggy-backing existing communication sent out to all parents following the routine year 6 health-checks in primary schools. We are also on with spreading awareness of the condition within our local community.

We're supporting this as 2 of our fantastic coaches are fathers to the 2 girls who have had this diagnosis. It's important to spread the word about this condition, so let's get sharing!

Sunday was a big day for the Garforth-Villa Womens-Team with all 3 teams playing at the same time on the same pitch at Aspire in Pontefract.

The Peacocks edged out a 2 all draw with 0 subs against top of the league Methley to keep the battle for the league title going.

Meanwhile, a big Villa derby played out in the other half as it was the Magpies vs the Owls with the Magpies coming out on top.

We couldn’t be prouder of the community and team spirit the 3 teams have built together.

🏆 PRESENTATION DAY🏆

Yesterday we came together as a club to celebrate the achievements of all of our players at our presentation day.

It really was a day of full of celebration with all our players and coaches, their families and the local community with food, drinks, games (including foot darts!) our hugely popular “splat the coach station” and what seemed to be a day long kick-about between kids of all ages.

🌟 This special day would not have been possible without the amazing efforts of the parents of our U12 Yellows Boys, u12 Blue Boys and u12 Yellows Girls for organising everything. We would also like to thank the players and the Committee for their help and support. 🌟

🌟 Shout out to Andy Hey and Garforth Town for letting us use some of their facilities, to The Ale Seller in Castleford for supplying drinks, Malcolm Michaels Quality Butchers in Crossgates for supplying the meat, Cooplands for donating bread and Tesco also for their donation. It is hugely appreciated 🌟

⚽️ A special thank you goes to the Garforth community who came out to celebrate with us and support all the players at the club. In particular, we are grateful to the residents around Brierlands for their understanding and cooperation in us running the event. ⚽️
