Sunday was a big day for the Garforth-Villa Womens-Team with all 3 teams playing at the same time on the same pitch at Aspire in Pontefract.

The Peacocks edged out a 2 all draw with 0 subs against top of the league Methley to keep the battle for the league title going.

Meanwhile, a big Villa derby played out in the other half as it was the Magpies vs the Owls with the Magpies coming out on top.

We couldn’t be prouder of the community and team spirit the 3 teams have built together.

🏆 PRESENTATION DAY🏆

Yesterday we came together as a club to celebrate the achievements of all of our players at our presentation day.

It really was a day of full of celebration with all our players and coaches, their families and the local community with food, drinks, games (including foot darts!) our hugely popular “splat the coach station” and what seemed to be a day long kick-about between kids of all ages.

🌟 This special day would not have been possible without the amazing efforts of the parents of our U12 Yellows Boys, u12 Blue Boys and u12 Yellows Girls for organising everything. We would also like to thank the players and the Committee for their help and support. 🌟

🌟 Shout out to Andy Hey and Garforth Town for letting us use some of their facilities, to The Ale Seller in Castleford for supplying drinks, Malcolm Michaels Quality Butchers in Crossgates for supplying the meat, Cooplands for donating bread and Tesco also for their donation. It is hugely appreciated 🌟

⚽️ A special thank you goes to the Garforth community who came out to celebrate with us and support all the players at the club. In particular, we are grateful to the residents around Brierlands for their understanding and cooperation in us running the event. ⚽️

U11 Whites made it to the semi finals of the Kirk Deighton Gala today ⚽️ Came second in the group stage to move onto the Champions League knockout phase of the tournament, losing 2-1 to the eventual winners.

Proud of the kids today, showing resilience, bravery and confidence to take it to some skillful players and play some great football.

And before anyone asks, the boy in the trolley is there only after putting himself in the way of a shot to get us the win to finish second, picking up an injury.

Well done to our U12 Yellows!

They did incredible to get to the cup final this season after moving up 4 divisions. They fought hard in the final today but lost to a very good side.

Not the result we wanted but getting to the cup final for the 2nd year running is an incredible achievement.
