The countdown is on for the 2026 Gala Day at Netherdale this Saturday! 🏉

Start your day with us at the clubrooms, where the doors and bar open from 8:00am. We’ll have hot breakfast rolls, ice-cold drinks, and plenty of maroon spirit flowing all day long.

Bring your family, friends, and community pride as we celebrate one of the biggest days on the calendar. We can’t wait to see Netherdale buzzing with support!

🏆 Gala Wanderers U18s Awards Evening 2025/26 🏆

Last Saturday, we celebrated another fantastic season at our U18s Awards Evening, recognising the hard work, commitment and achievements of our young players throughout the year.

A huge congratulations to this season’s award winners:

Gala Rugby would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who attended the Gala Red Triangle Quiz Night in support of the club’s Portugal Tour fundraising campaign.

The event was a fantastic success, with an incredible £1,656.82 raised on the night. This outstanding total will make a significant contribution towards the squad’s tour fund and help support what promises to be a memorable experience for all involved.

Thank you to everyone who took part, donated, organised, and supported the event. Your generosity and enthusiasm are greatly appreciated and have played a vital role in helping the team move one step closer to Portugal.

A special thank you must also go to the event sponsors, whose generous support helped make the evening such a success.

Gala Rugby is saddened to hear about the passing of former player, Scott Amos. Scott was a stalwart of the first fifteen and a great sevens player.

Gala Rugby Club is delighted to announce that Lynda Stoddart has taken on the new role of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Lead.

This is the first time the club has appointed an EDI Lead, reflecting our commitment to making rugby a welcoming, respectful and inclusive environment for everyone.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is about ensuring that all members, players, volunteers, supporters and visitors feel valued and have the opportunity to be involved, regardless of their background, age, gender, disability, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation.

Lynda will help support the club in promoting good practice, encouraging participation from all parts of our community, and ensuring Gala Rugby Club continues to be a place where everyone feels they belong.
