Filey Town Veterans are in action against Madly United at Clarence Drives theatre of dreams where Town will look to extend their winning ways! Kick off is at 1830 Friday the 5th of June, the club will be open for refreshment so have a wander down and support Fileys Legends in what is always an entertaining watch!

FILEY TOWN U13s LEAGUE AND CUP DOUBLE WINNERS 💛💙💛💙💛💙💛

Town u13s travelled to the Roy West Centre today for the Bridge Cup final, knowing a win would make them double winners but also go all season undefeated. It was the last game of a long season which started with a pre lim cup game on 7th sept.

After playing a tournament at Elland Road yesterday and playing Barham blues who are 2 divisions above, the team knew they would need to all give 100% to have any chance of winning.

After an even opening to the game, town took control with 2 goals in 3 mins by Leon Borrie,
robbing the defender in the penalty box, he cooly slotted home after 14 mins.
2 minutes later an Archie Bradshaw cut back, was powerfully driven home by Leon.
Barham then got their 1st goal of the game, after 30 mins.
With Barham chasing a equaliser, towns players gave a master class in game management, having loads of possession, using the channels and not conceding a shot on target in the 2nd half.
With the final whistle, came wild celebrations which was thoroughly deserved.
