Originally made from a combination of yellow ochre, pigment white 5, and ultramarine blue, NIVO was originally developed at Orfordness experimental station as a paint for British bombers that matched both the colour and gloss level of open water at night.

The importance of layers that work together and complement each other is a key principle of survival in the elements.

The acronym COLDER is the easiest to remember and apply

C-clean
O-overheating (avoid)
L-loose layers
D-dry
E-examine
R-repair

Finding an outer layer that protects from wind and rain while still being breathable, and an inner garment that insulates but doesn’t overheat you is the perfect way to dress when hiking in the UK or similar climates.

It allows you to layer up when required or down when it’s not, which imo is far superior to having an all in one jacket.

We now have an absolutely stunning range of Elliot Brown watches in stock.

If you don’t know ebwatches check them out, I’ve been wearing one for over a year now and rate these watches very highly.

The way they are made ensures they are incredibly durable.

Instead of the standard plastic surround that holds the watch movement inside the case. EB watches have a steel mechanism holder that has a elastomer O ring around the outer edge. The movement sits inside the steel holder and the O ring absorbs impact ensuring the movement is safe

They’ve blown these watch’s up on ranges, and sent them to the depths of the ocean on robot subs

The watch strap bars are single piece screw in so they almost never break and the range of straps available is first class

These are amazing tool watches at superb prices.
