Our Young Persons' Sports Panels and Young Start apprentices have had a busy weekend!

Our outgoing Panel ran this year's Wheels to Water event for over 45 disabled people and their family members in conjunction with RYA Scotland , Scottish Cycling, Paddle Scotland and Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park 🚵‍♀️🚣‍♀️

Following this, they all travelled to sportscotland National Centre Inverclyde for their first joint residential event where they took part in the new Disability, Advocacy and Sport workshop, trampolining and had discussions about their plans for the future! Well done to all involved and thanks to the peer mentors, and to Victoria and Tina for making it all happen!

Another day done at the World Boccia Championships.✨

Stephen and Sophie Newnham have continued their strong play, qualifying for the BC4 Pairs semi final with several strong performances including a great 8 – 1 victory over Portugal in the quarter final. Tomorrow they will face reigning BC4 Pairs Paralympic champions Columbia, as they look to book their place in the final.💪

Patrick and Sally Kidson delivered multiple solid performances, and although their campaign has come to a close, the week has provided the BC3 Pair with lot’s of World Championships experience.

Kayleigh Brown, David Smith and Rashad Saraj had a great run at making it out of the BC1/2 Team group, winning two matches, and losing the other two. Unfortunately resulting on them missing out on qualifying for the round of 16. Kayleigh should be extremely proud of her performances, making your World Boccia Championships debut is an incredible achievement.💙
