MATCH REPORT | DYNAMO WOMEN 2- ARNISTON 4
Dynamo Women travelled away to Arniston on Friday night for their latest SW9 league fixture, going into the game as underdogs having never previously beaten arnistonwomanfc
Coming into the match on the back of five straight wins, confidence was high, but on a very small pitch it took both teams a little time to settle and work out how best to adapt.
Arniston eventually found their rhythm and raced into a 2–0 lead, but Dynamo gave themselves a huge boost just before half time. Deonne picked up the ball just past the halfway line and produced a fantastic long-range strike to get us back into the game at 2–1.
We came out for the second half full of confidence and created some great chances as we pushed for an equaliser. That goal eventually came through Kelly, who smashed home a powerful free kick from distance to make it 2–2 and put us right back in the contest.
The game remained competitive, but Arniston were dangerous on the break throughout, using their pace and the long ball well. With the match heading towards the closing stages, they struck twice late on to secure a 4–2 victory.
It wasn’t to be our night, and our five game winning run comes to an end, but there were still plenty of positives to take from the performance. This was one of our closest results against Arniston and another sign of the progress the team continues to make. 💪

Not only did Deonne score an unbelievable goal to get us back into the game, she worked tirelessly up and down the wing all night and even dropped back into defence when needed. A fantastic all round performance and a very well deserved POTM! 👏
