Thank you to everyone who attended our sixes today, 5 mixed teams competed, with the final victor being decided over a sudden death penalty shootout 🏑

Thank you everyone for making today's Primary age competition such a success. There was some great competitive shinty on display in all ages groups. Well done Gleann Dail shinty club who won the P6/7 competition, and hard lines Glasgow Gaels Shinty Club who were runners up. It was so close between the two it came down to not just goal difference but goals for! Even then there were only 2 goals in it.
Edinburgh came out on top in the P4/5 and development competitions, well done all the players involved!

All the games were close and all played in great spirit and good sportsmanship was on display from everyone, players,coaches and supporters! Well done.

A huge thank you to our pitch coordinators and referees, young refs from our clubs and two from Tayforth Camanachd , Rosie and Alison, who made it all run smoothly aswell.

Lastly, thanks to all coaches, parents, supporters, taxi drivers, first aiders, herders ( Development! You know who you are!), encouragers and all the other roles everyone takes on in all the clubs to make sure everyone enjoys themselves.

We hope to see you all next year!

Brilliant day at the Meadows Festival today! Weather was decent and great vibe throughout the day. Tayforth Camanachd weren't able to get a win over Uddingston but the whole team did a fantastic job getting the pitch ready and also running their beat the keeper competition.

We're looking forward to our primary school age competition tomorrow then taster session and community game.

HELP NEEDED! Sunday 7th June.

Hi,

We are in desperate need of help this Sunday between 11am and 1:30pm for our Primary age group competition we are hosting during the Meadows Festival. I'm hoping there might be some shinty players, or referees, out there who can help us referee some of our Primary age grouped games on Sunday between 11am and 1:30pm.
You don't need to be a qualified referee, just know the basics. The games are very easy to manage as well, as it will be a friendly type competition (non league points) and we'll make sure you have all the kit you need, ie whistle! The games are 4 aside or six aside, so again very easy to manage.

This is a great opportunity to give something back to shinty, any time you can donate will be greatly appreciated!

Well done to our team, made up of Primary 1 and 2 players, who finished 3rd out of 7 teams in the CSYSA Development Cup on Sunday!

Many thanks to everyone at Glasgow Gaels Shinty Club for putting on the CSYSA Development Cup at the weekend at Stirling Shinty Club's pitches. Everyone had a thoroughly good time!

This week we were delighted to host students from Arizona State University who contacted us looking to find out more about shinty and the links between sport, culture and language in Scotland. Around 20 of them participated in some drills and a game at the end- ‘s math a rinn sibh!

Well done to our brilliant girls team who came so close to winning the South of Scotland girls tournament today in Stirling. So close to going through to the national final but not to be. They should all be really happy with themselves.
