It's Friday the sun is out, the pints are chilled, Smash burgers are on the grill and there is £5665 up for grabs . What a time to be a ERUFC supporter 💚💛🖤.

The Jackpot Joker continues this evening at The Star Inn so as they used to say on a Saturday night in the 80s COME ON DOWN ( ask your parents 🤣) to the Star.

CONFIRMED FOR THE 2026/27 SEASON - Tis the season to highlight those who will be wearing the black green and gold come September 🖤💚💛

Joining us at the tail end of last season but looking forward to a full season in our colours are the two Joe's Joe Downward & Joe Nixon .

Both bring explosive pace and great experience to our side . Downward will glide around and Nixon goes straight through defenders 💪.

We cannot wait to see these two representing Eccleshall Rugby Club 🖤💚💛

Touch rugby continues this evening at Bishop Lonsdale School. Come down and join our men's, Eccleshall Women’s Rugby and Eccleshall RUFC Juniors players .

A great opportunity for new and returning players to enjoy a run around.

Last Thursday ERUFC Legend Ian Bradford (who's well in to his 60's😮🤣) rolled back the years putting in a great shift on the 4g..

With the 2025/26 season behind us, (yes we know players dinner / awards night is not for a couple of weeks!) Planning for the 2026/27 season has begun in earnest 💪💪.

We are delighted to confirm that our "coaching team" of Zac & Eddy will be staying with us and building on the foundations laid last season.

Because the RFU cant make 14 clubs fit into 8 spaces (long story & yes we appealed, but they didn't agree with us😭 - were blaming Bill Sweeney🤣) it's Counties 3 Midlands West (North) again for us.

Zac & Eddy will both be "Player Coaches" leading the charge as we strive to ensure that our future is dictated by our endeavors on the pitch rather than by "mathematicians" off the pitch.

Yes the Jackpot Joker continues this evening at The Star Inn and the jackpot is a whopping £5,505. That means that £5505 has been raised for our club so thank you to those who support this fundraising initiative 💪

And its not just rugby, with Queens in full swing & Wimbledon just a drop shot (tennis term) away, we are pleased to announce our Co-Captains for this year's Eccleshall Tennis Club tournament.

The event is always a highlight of the "off season" and this year Captain Tom will be sharing the captaincy with Katherine in what can only be described as a Hodgkinson dream team.

July 11th is the big day and the action is served (tennis term) at 1330. We will be running the BBQ and The Little George serving the drinks.

Club members who would like to join our team please let Tom Hodgkinson know ASAP. If tennis is not your thing but BBQs & drinking are head down to cheer on our team. 💚💛🖤

The rugby just keeps on coming ... Fantastic mixed touch session last evening with well over 30 in attendance. Great to see a mix of players from our mens, Eccleshall Women’s Rugby and Eccleshall RUFC Juniors teams. A few junior coaches and one or two faces we haven't seen in a while😂😜

Tonight is our Eccleshall Women’s Rugby training at Bishop Lonsdale at 2000. It's a session that is open to all ladies over 18 and we are always looking for new recruits so spread the word ... ladies if you fancy giving rugby a try come along. 💚💛🖤

It's Tuesday so its an opportunity to celebrate the 20025/26 Rangers of the Week. ERUFC is blessed to have so many club members and supporters who go above and beyond on and off the field to ensure our club is a club we can all be proud of.

With the preparations for season 26/27 in full swing it is only right we thank many of those who stepped up and went the extra mile on behalf of rugby in Eccleshall.

We thank you and all those who give their time to ensure we continue to thrive💪.

Our activities continue with mixed touch rugby at Lonsdale school this evening, open to all over the age of 16. Great numbers last week and we look forward to another great session this evening at 1900.💚💛🖤

ERUFC will be joining with former players and supporters of Gnosall RUFC to remember & celebrate the life of Karl Marsh and raise funds for Katherine House Hospice.
