REMINDER! The inter-club gala with COSACSS is almost here!

Just a reminder that on Sunday 28th June, 5:30–7:30pm, we're heading to Fenton Manor for a friendly return fixture with COSACSS. Last year they came to us in Stone — now it's our turn to go and show them what SADSC is made of! 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️

There's something for everyone on the night: individual races and team relays, which means house points are very much up for grabs 👀

If your swimmer can't make it, please let us know as soon as possible — spaces are limited and we want to get as many members involved as we can.

Fenton Manor has plenty of room for spectators, so come along and cheer your swimmer on! 📣

🏊 Your club needs you!

Our AGM is this Thursday 11th June at 6:30pm at the Royal Exchange — all are welcome to come along, have a say, and find out what goes on behind the scenes.

This year we have two important roles to fill:

📋 Club Secretary — Taking and distributing minutes from our bi-monthly committee meetings, processing new member Swim England fees, and chasing up any non-payers (yes, we're looking at you, Soakly dodgers 😄).

🛡️ Welfare Officer — Overseeing any welfare matters that arise within the club.

These roles are vital. As a Swim England affiliated club we need a five-person executive committee as part of our constitution — and we must have a Welfare Officer to operate. Filling these posts protects everything we do for our swimmers.

If you're interested in either role, or just want to help out in any way, get in touch at [email protected] — or simply come down to the pub on Thursday!
The club runs entirely on volunteers. Every hand counts. 🙌

🏊 Exciting news — we're heading to a gala! 🏊

We're thrilled to announce that SADSC has been invited to an inter-club gala with COSACSS on Sunday 28th June, 5:30pm–7:30pm at Fenton Manor.

This is a return fixture - last year we hosted COSACSS here in Stone, and now it's our turn to visit them. It's a fantastic event and a brilliant opportunity for our swimmers to compete in a friendly, fun atmosphere.

The gala is designed to be as inclusive as possible - it's not just individual races but a variety of team events too, so there's something for everyone. We'll be working to get as many of our swimmers involved as we can.

A couple of important things:

➡️ If your swimmer is unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan numbers
➡️ Swimmers who already represent the club or another club in an established competition (Leagues, County, or National level) are not eligible for this event

Spaces will be limited so please get in touch if you have any questions. More details on the race events to follow soon. Also, with this being at Fenton there will be plenty of seats for parents to watch! 👀

💙 Come on SADSC!

What an incredible morning at the Stone Carnival! 🎉

Our pirate ship float made quite a splash yesterday - and so did the water pistols! If you were watching from the roadside, we hope you got a little wetter than expected... the kids certainly made sure of it! We even had a mermaid and a shark in tow!! 🧜‍♂️🦈

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make it happen. To the parents who bought materials and helped build and decorate the float - it looked absolutely amazing. To those who helped with setup on the day, and to every volunteer who walked alongside and kept the fun going - you're the heart of this club.

Most of all, thank you to our brilliant swimmers for throwing yourselves into it with so much energy and enthusiasm. You were fantastic!

Finally, thank you Stone Carnival Week for putting up with us! 😂

SADSC is a community club in every sense of the word, and days like yesterday are exactly why we love what we do. 💙💛🖤
