Stafford Road Club Stafford Road Club has enjoyed over 60 years of strong support from local cyclists.

Established in 1942, Stafford Road Club has enjoyed over 70 years of strong support from local cyclists. Club members have gained some of the most prestigious regional, national and international awards over the years. Stafford Road Club has been awarded Clubmark accreditation by British Cycling. Our membership ranges from folk who just want a good weekend and/or mid-week social ride to hard training for time trialists, road racers, track riders, tri-athletes, young MTBs and riders of UK and European sportives. Anyone with a love for the outdoors who wants to enjoy cycling should contact us… there is something to interest all riders - young and old.

Thanks to all that competed today, dry conditions and the headwind dropped just before the start. Course a bit bumpy in places. Some excellent times on the road bikes.

Stafford Road Club Summer Sportive 2026
Join us on Saturday 12th September 2026 for the Stafford Road Club Summer Sportive – a fantastic morning of cycling, great company and fundraising for a brilliant local cause. Whether you're looking for a relaxed ride or a bit more of a challenge, choose from our 35-mile or 50-mile route, both starting and finishing at Run and Ride Stafford.
Registration opens at 8:30am, with the rides setting off at 9:00am. Entry is just £10, with every penny going to Katharine House Hospice, helping them continue the incredible care they provide to people and families across our community.
Expect well-planned routes, friendly faces, beautiful Staffordshire roads and post-ride refreshments waiting for you back at Run and Ride. Simply download your chosen route from our website, turn up with your bike and enjoy a brilliant day in the saddle.
Ride for the miles. Ride for the cake. Ride for a great cause.

Another opportunity to race our local club course K48/10 on Saturday 22nd Aug when the Midlands VTTA are hosting their annual open TT event.

This event is open to all riders — not just VTTA members — with categories for:

Road bikes
Time trial bikes
Tandems

Everyone’s welcome on the start sheet.
