Dunoon on the Move aims to make cycling, walking and wheeling accessible, fun and sociable. Developed by Dunoon Community Development Trust & funded by HITRANS.

Check out our programme of walks, led cycles, cycle maintenance training & e-bike loans. Dunoon on the move continues the excellent work of Dunoon Bothy project supporting people to make more everyday journeys by walking, cycling or wheeling. We had a spooktacular Silent Disco last night, Castle House made for a perfect backdrop 🏚 well done to all those who came and danced...some for almost an hour and a half 🧟‍♂️👻 sure got my step count up!!

If anyones looking for evening walking inspiration...

Thom’s Winter Walks 🤎

Now that the clocks have turned back and the dark nights are setting in we know it can be a tough time of year.

So starting THIS Thursday (29th October) we’ll be hosting a weekly 30 minute walk along the prom, starting from the Thom’s van ✨

We know getting outside can do wonders both mentally and physically but it can be so hard when it’s dark, wintery and wet (especially for us girlies who might not feel so safe out on our own!)

By hosting our weekly winter walk, we hope it’ll help you get outside (even in the rain) and maybe even meet some new people!

We’ll meet at 6.30pm at the van on a Thursday, and it’s open to absolutely everyone - dogs, buggy’s, children all welcome!

And for the first one to give you the nudge you need to come along, we’ll be giving out a free hot drink of your choice on us!

Hopefully this will be just a wee something to help you through these darker months 🤎

Cowalfest 2026 has a pop up walk coming up on Hallowe'en 👻
