Royal Gourock Yacht Club members made waves as they completed an impressive cross Clyde swim to get the club’s annual open day off to a special start 🏊🏼‍♀️

The skirl of the pipes greeted open water swimmers as they arrived on the club’s slipway, having swam across the river from Kilcreggan accompanied by skiffs. The swimmers had arranged the event to kick off a busy afternoon of activities which were organised to offer locals an insight into what the club has to offer.

Well that was Fun - and so many people who contributed to the success of the day, to thank👌 including - All the representatives at the stalls,
Ardgowan Distillery, TLC Pharmacy Gourock, Leon Trayling & Ishga Beauty Products, The Coastal Rowers, The Open Water Swim Team, Danny Fisher, Inverclyde Pipes and Drums, Johnny the Chef ( for 100 cheese burgers at least), Catherine Murray who raised £468.00 from the Cadets Raffles 👏👏👏........ and the Red Arrow 💘💨

In addition to our Weekly Swim Events we are holding a Social Swimming and Race Event on the day from @1230.
We will be swimming over from Cove - with a final race up to the Club @1315!
Pipers from Inverclyde Pipes & Drums will pipe us in and we can't wait!

The historic waterfront Clubhouse offers excellent sailing and shore side facilities complimented by an extensive year long Calendar of Social Events.
In addition to The Club’s Annual Regattas, other major Sail Racing & Social Events - there is a varied schedule of activities throughout the year, including live music and BBQ's on the weekends in Summer.
The Club caters for functions including - Weddings, Birthday parties, Engagement parties and Christenings.
