Lisburn Distillery Academy

Lisburn Distillery Academy Football academy for boys & girls (u6-u18), with teams competing in several Belfast & Lisburn Leagues

Since its formation in 2006, Lisburn Distillery’s Academy has grown to boast over 130 players and 30 members of staff in its ranks. The ‘Wee Whites’ have an Academy set-up from small sided games (Mini-Soccer) In addition to playing at most age groups in the Lisburn Junior Invitational League and south belfast youth league. The Academy teams feed into the clubs Under 20 Development Squad and First

Team, currently playing in the Northern Ireland Intermediate Premier League. There has been individual success for many players involved with the academy who represented their County at the Milk Cup and also some players representing Northern Ireland at various age groups. The Academy teams at Lisburn Distillery have also won several pieces of silverware and continue to excel locally. All this cannot be achieved without a dedicated and committed list of staff, all of which are volunteers. The Academy is also extremely grateful to their sponsors and supporters who continue to enable these huge steps to be realised in coaching, supporting, kitting out and contributing to our large number of players participation in youth football.

🧹Whites Day/Night at New Grosvenor ⚒️

Many hands make light work so why not come along and help out on WHITES DAY!

A day where we focus on the ground, tidying, cleaning, painting, litter picking, generally getting the ground ready for the new season!

After last couple of successful days, there is still much to be done.

No job is too small! Especially if you’re a joiner, painter, power washer or self proclaimed DIY expert!

Bring yourself, bring a friend and we’ll bring the sausage baps.

Congratulations to our 2009s who won the Under 17 Champion of Champions Play-off this afternoon - a great end of season event which pits the best v best in the Lisburn Castlereagh and Mid Ulster Leagues.

The boys took on Loughgall 2009s who won the Mid-Ulster Under 17 Premier League. It was a good contest between two strong sides. Loughgall opened the scoring against the run of play early in the first half. The boys didn't let their heads drop and continued knocking the ball about and created a few chances. The equalizer came midway through the first half from a moment of magic - it came from Rio who stepped up to strike a cracking freekick from 25 yards out that.

The boys continued to work hard in the second half and played some nice football along the way. Despite the wee Whites pushing for the winner with a few chances late on, the game finished 1-1 and went to the dreaded penalties! The boys ran out 4-3 victors - Joshua the hero with a fine low save.

Man of the match, selected by the match officials, was Rio - a worthy winner who never put a foot wrong at the back and scored a quality equaliser.

Thanks as always to our team sponsor, Spar Lambeg.

Thanks also to the Lisburn Castlereagh Junior League and Mid Ulster Leagues for organising and Annagh United for hosting.

⚽️🤍🖤 2018s, Colts & 2017s 🖤🤍⚽️

What a great day yesterday we had as a club at the Carryduff Colts Cross Community Cup. Well done to the hosts on an excellently ran day ⚽️⚽️

Our 2018s were there for the morning session and got off to a great start with a 3 0 win. A loss in the 2nd game and a win in the final game meant they finished 2nd in their group and came up against Dromara in the semi final game. Unfortunately it wasn't to be but a great day all round for the boys ⚽️🤍🖤

Colts had a mixed bag of results in their group. Drawing their 1st game, losing the 2nd and another draw in their 3rd. This seen them finish 3rd in their group. They went out and got a great result in their semi final to get through to a final. After being ahead for most of the game a late equaliser meant the final was decided on Penalties. The toughest of ways to lose any game but especially a final. Well done boys all day ⚽️🤍🖤

2017s lost their 1st group game and gave the boys a kick they needed as they went out and won our next 2 games to get us 2nd place in the group. We then had a big break before playing our semi final game and it told as we got off to a slow start and just couldn't get back into our rhythm.

Once again a fantastic day all round and the boys all came away with a medal and most importantly a big smile on their faces ⚽️🤍🖤

A big thank you as well to all the parents and family members for their continued support of the coaches, club and team throughout the year.

The celebrations kicked off with the traditional parents v kids match which produced lots of goals and laughs.

A brilliant way to finish the season.
