3-Ball Camps

Why we do what you we do?

As a kid of 10 years growing up in Birmingham my mom used to pack me off in the morning with a 3l bottle of tap water and 4 Jam sandwiches and a pack of digestive biscuits and tell me to be home before the street light come on.

My mates and I would meet up at our senior school Simon Digby School, Partridge Close, Birmingham, and our PE teacher Mr Hemmings would give us access to the PE equipment cupboard.

From there we would spend the whole day reliving moments and playing sports what our our heroes were playing in days gone by :-

🖤Grant Fox and his journey towards 87 World Cup winner

Are kids in a position to do what we used to do back then, are the risks the same then as now, are we too risk averse?

Rippa 3-Ball camps and our Bournemouth Rugby camps allow children to play in a safe environment like we used to do behind the confines of the school gate with qualified, experienced professional coaches but more importantly coaches who care for their children as if they were their own.

Well….school festival season is over 😞. My favourite time of the year where all the hard work children and schools put into their PE and after-school coaching sessions culminating in and opportunity to play fixtures against other like minded schools.

🏉 festival-22 teams, 18 West Dorset Schools 264 children

🏉 year 3/4 Hampshire and Dorset Tag rugby festival, 26 schools, 30 teams, 360 children

🏉 Ellisedwardsfoundation year 5/6 Hampshire and Dorset County Tag Rugby Finals, 28 schools, 32 teams, 384 children

That is over 1,000 children playing our great sport who otherwise might not get to do this.
