It was the first ever league game for our U8s on Sunday as they played Sway in the BYFL.

They were slow to start, adjusting to the smaller pitches of 3v3 following a previous weekend of 5v5 football!

They soon adjusted, winning their duels and creating chances, with the goals soon following ⚽️

It was great to see so many different goal scorers, a real benefit to the 3v3 format with so much involvement from every player!

*Pathway Complete*✅️

On Sunday, we finally achieved our long-term goal! To provide a clear and realistic football pathway for local girls' football, all the way from U7s through to our women's team.

A huge thank you to everyone who came to support and contribute to our crowd of over 200 people.

A special thanks to our U8s as match day mascots, our U11s as flag bearers, and our U13s as ball girls.

This has been something that has been 13 years in the making from Amelia being 4 years old in a boys team, through to our first all girls team eight years ago at U7s, then the formation of QPL, through to today.

With a match day squad average age of just 17 years and 20 days old, it was pleasing to hear so many young QPL players saying 'that will be me one day' or 'I can't wait to play in our ladies' team'.

Everyone involved should be very proud of what we've achieved and excited for the future.

Our Under 10s took part in the Wi******er Flyers Girls Tournament on Sunday, and what a fantastic day it turned out to be!

The girls started the tournament with some really close and competitive matches in the group stages. They showed great determination, teamwork and resilience, battling hard in every game and never giving up. Their performances saw them progress through to the quarter-finals, where they put in a brilliant display and secured a comfortable win to book their place in the semi-final.

The semi-final was a real test of character. The girls were strong from start to finish, fighting for every ball and giving absolutely everything until the final whistle. Despite creating opportunities, neither team could find the back of the net, meaning the game had to be decided by a tense penalty shoot-out.

The pressure was on, but the girls showed incredible composure. Poppy P, Roxy and Harper stepped up and took some fantastic penalties, while Ivy was absolutely amazing in goal, making crucial saves to keep us in the game. The girls held their nerve, won the shoot-out and secured their place in the final! 🎉

The final was another tense and hard-fought game, with both teams battling for every opportunity. With the clock ticking down and the game looking destined to go down to the wire, Roxy produced an absolute screamer just seconds before the final whistle! ⚽🔥 What a moment!

Every single player gave their absolute all in every game and should be incredibly proud of themselves. Their determination, teamwork, effort and belief throughout the tournament were outstanding, and they thoroughly deserved to be crowned winners of their age group! 🏆

A huge congratulations to every one of the girls — what an incredible achievement and a fantastic tournament to remember! ❤️⚽🏆

*U15s JPL match report*

First competitive game of the season in the JPL Cup league stage, away against Hartland....

We couldn't have gotten off to a worse start, conceding a goal from a corner within the first 2 minutes... 0-1.

The girl's heads didn't drop, though, and we got back into the game before the first quarter had come to an end... 1-1.

The equaliser settled the girls, and the following two quarters were more controlled, with the football on display being really good to watch.

Moving into the last quarter, both teams were doing all they could to get a winner.
After a fine save at one end kept us in the game, we then created an opportunity that was smashed high into the goal... 2-1! ⚽️

It was really pleasing to see everyone's desire to never give up and keep pushing until we got the win... 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻

⚽ Chippenham Town 1 QPL 7 ⚽

New season, new squad, new kit, big win.

Our U16`s started the new season with a convincing 7-1 away win today in the JPL cup.

With a number of new faces strengthening the team this season, it was great to see them in action today, in our first competitive fixture of the new season.

The girls dominated possession throughout the game and played some lovely football, which was a joy to watch. Of course there are some development areas to work on, but a good start to the campaign.

A great weekend of football for our U14 girls.

On Sunday, they played in the Braishfields Tournament.

Unfortunately, we had no GK for the tournament and the girls volunteered to play in goal on rotation.

There was some fantastic football played throughout the day of which made the girls unbeaten in the group and top the table. 💚💪🏻

However, they were so unfortunate and lost the semi-final on penalties. We can not fault the effort and determination that was put into all the performances.

U15s JPL - pre-season complete ✅️

Great to be back to it, even in the rain.

After a few weeks with no game, Saturday was a much needed final pre-season fixture.

A slow start with the girls taking time to settle into the first quarter, however the rest of the game flowed better, the players relaxed and became more composed as they grew into the game.

Dorking were a physical side, and it was good to prepare physically and mentally for the cup & league games ahead.

Some well taken goals, alongside solid individual efforts and collectively a great team performance as well.
