We were extremely proud to host the Doncaster Celebration of Running last night. Now in its 6th year, the event has established itself as a 'must do' in the South Yorkshire running calendar.
We are very grateful to Wheatley Hills RUFC for providing us with a fabulous venue and for providing refreshments after the run. I don't have an exact figure, but we think it was 373 in total.... and the rugby club served 264 chip butties!!!
Not only do we want to say a huge thank you to each and every one of the runners who joined us last night and made it such a superb evening, but we'd also especially like to thank the Run Leaders for stepping up and leading and assisting with the huge groups. It is not an easy task!!
And finally, next year's event will be on Thursday, 3rd June 2027, so make a note in your diary now!

Our second tourist parkrun of the year, this time at the beautiful Nostell parkrun.
Certainly a very warm morning, and a huge turnout 🏃‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️😎🫖☕🥐🥰

Another notable night for Wheatley Hills runners last night, with a number taking part in the Rother Valley Relays, others training at our weekly hills session at Cusworth Hall, and several competed in the brand new local event, the Bentley 5-mile race.
Well done to everyone competing and training last night.

Our first away run of the summer, and whilst the sun shone it wasn't very warm!! Nevertheless, 78 joined us for a run around Sprotbrough, the Flash and along the river.
As always, many thanks to The Ivanhoe for hosting us.

A cold, cold night, but that didn't deter our fabulous runners, who tackled the Curly's Run for Wildlife Night 5k at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
Over 40 of us took part in this superb event, with some exceptional performances too.

Last Night saw the curtain brought down on another fabulous year for our little club. We had an enormous turnout of over 60 members for our Christmas Pub Run, where we enjoyed a beverage at The Sun Inn Doncaster, and The Mallard, Cusworth Lane, Doncaster.

Our Christmas themed runs continued tonight with our 'Finding Snowmen' run.
12 Snowmen are located around the town centre and our 5 groups were on the run to find them all. ☃️🏃🏼‍♀️🏃‍♂️☃️

We are incredibly proud of our latest Couch to 5k group, who completed their final run of the course today, by doing Sandall Park parkrun.
It was a beautifully mild morning, but overnight rain had made the course a little slippery in places.
For this group, it was no problem, with every single one of them completing the run and all with smiles on their faces!!
It's been a pleasure to introduce these people to running and support them in achieving their goals. We are very proud of them all 😍
