It seems like we have a 'collector' in our group 😀. We started out with 6 of each colour lanyards (for team colours) and we try at the end of each session to make sure they're all handed back in. But we're now down to 5 of each colour. Is someone collecting the full set?
We'll just have to buy another full set of each colour. It's that or coloured pencil on a placard round necks!

Despite a few people being on holiday, there were players aplenty to make for some interesting games.
On mat 3 - we were thrashed in the first session. But after lots of chocolate and biscuits in the break, we surged forward to even the scores - almost.
The other two mats seemed pretty evenly matched.
A jovial morning was had by all: A good advert for socialising, reducing isolation and loneliness, great for mental health, and having a jolly good laugh into the bargain.

Many absences due to holidays but still a good turnout. Rain certainly doesn't stop play at Thursday Bowls!
Two new ladies, Janet and Maria, were thrown in at the deep end and made a pretty good job of becoming competent bowlers, even hitting the jack! Well done ladies, see you next week.

Last week we had visitors from Humberside come to play bowls with us (now honorary members of our group). This week - our furthest travelled visitors so far - came from Rugby to play with their granny and granddad. And a fine job they made of it too!
No tape measures needed on their mat though. Not like mat 3. 🤣
