πŸ’“ 2024 πŸ’“

I started out the year halfway across the world, weighing 14st 4lb. I convinced myself daily that I was a healthy, happy weight and didn't need to get back in the gym or lose anything (Swipe for context)

Coming home after 6 weeks of travelling showed me how wrong i was. I had lost just over half a stone in that time, and it had given me the boost I needed! But my next battle would be handling a new office job with limited physical activity. So I ping ponged around for about 3 months with my weight, losing a lbs and gaining a lb (whilst trying to figure out a routine in the gym after being out of action for 2 years!)

It took me 6 months (and a fair few kicks up the backside from my other half and my amazing mother) to finish the year having lost 30lb of fat and being the lightest and fittest that I have been since being 18 years old!

If that wasn't enough, I've gone from a UK size 16 to a UK 12! (I didn't take measurements because I didn't actually expect to achieve it! Constant YoYo diets for years does kind of kill the motivation sometimes!)

I am going into 2025 with several goals in mind:
- Lose the remaining stone of fat
- Increase my weight training to smash my previous PBs out of the park (going to use this account more to be held accountable πŸ˜…)
(130kg Deadlift, 115kg Back Squat, 30kg Dumbbell Chest Press & 75kg Bench Press)

Another huge thank you to G4 and their team for being so supportive and keeping the classes πŸ”₯

Goodbye 2024, let's see what you have in store 2025πŸ‘€πŸ˜˜

SHES BACKKKK (and feeling more body positive than everrrr!)

So I've had 2 years out of the gym environment and my body has changed a lot in that time.. my working weights are a lot lower than I'm used too, my clothes fit me differently and I have lost a lot of muscle.

BUT...

I've never been more positive about my body and moving it in a gym environment! I've learned to love my body as it's the only one I'll ever have! I wear clothes that I never would have worn before (shorts were always a big no for me).

I move to be healthy, I move for my wellbeing (physically and mentally) and I move because I enjoy it!

Everybody is worthy of wearing what they want and being in the gym πŸ’– not every angle is flattering and THATS OKAY!

πŸ₯³GIRL HIT 70KGπŸ₯³

πŸŽ‰Delayed postingπŸŽ‰

πŸŽ‰ Okay, so I've had a goal in my mind to hit 70kg for 1 rep on bench by the end of March since the new year and have been stuck on 60 pretty much the whole time.... only to go and hit 3 x 70kg and then a deload of 60kg for 5 straight after πŸŽ‰

πŸ”₯The fact my original working weight is now a deload weight is the best feeling πŸ”₯

πŸ’— Thank you for the spot πŸ’—

πŸ’™ So grateful for having such a supportive team at πŸ’™

πŸ”₯Never stop working for what you wantπŸ”₯

πŸ’” 6 months ago I couldn't imagine deadlifting this, my injury wasn't helping, i was in a bad place mentally and my self confidence was at an all time low πŸ’”

πŸŽ‰ But then to hit 120KG on my deadlift for 3 x 2 felt amazing πŸŽ‰

It may not seem like that much to others but to me its a sign that I am healing and progressing, proving to myself that I am pushing myself in the right direction (even if it doesn't feel it sometimes)

πŸ”₯ NEVER STOP PUSHING FOR WHAT YOU WANT πŸ”₯
