π 2024 π
I started out the year halfway across the world, weighing 14st 4lb. I convinced myself daily that I was a healthy, happy weight and didn't need to get back in the gym or lose anything (Swipe for context)
Coming home after 6 weeks of travelling showed me how wrong i was. I had lost just over half a stone in that time, and it had given me the boost I needed! But my next battle would be handling a new office job with limited physical activity. So I ping ponged around for about 3 months with my weight, losing a lbs and gaining a lb (whilst trying to figure out a routine in the gym after being out of action for 2 years!)
It took me 6 months (and a fair few kicks up the backside from my other half and my amazing mother) to finish the year having lost 30lb of fat and being the lightest and fittest that I have been since being 18 years old!
If that wasn't enough, I've gone from a UK size 16 to a UK 12! (I didn't take measurements because I didn't actually expect to achieve it! Constant YoYo diets for years does kind of kill the motivation sometimes!)
I am going into 2025 with several goals in mind:
- Lose the remaining stone of fat
- Increase my weight training to smash my previous PBs out of the park (going to use this account more to be held accountable π
)
(130kg Deadlift, 115kg Back Squat, 30kg Dumbbell Chest Press & 75kg Bench Press)
Another huge thank you to G4 and their team for being so supportive and keeping the classes π₯
Goodbye 2024, let's see what you have in store 2025ππ
