The F600 British Sidecar Championship kicked off last weekend running alongside the Bemsee round at Donington Park.

Great turn out for the Ryde Chassis with 7 F600 entered in the meeting.

It was a meeting with highs and lows and a very late night helping teams that required help after the Saturday race.

The highs was getting on the podium in the main championship with 3 2nd place finishes for Ben & Mark also teams getting on the podium in the Cup championship. Great effort also for John Holden & Phil Knapton coming home in 5th place over-all on their second meeting using a Ryde Chassis.

The lows was Eddie & Ben having a very big crash on lap 1 of the Saturdays race. After a trip to hospital both Eddie and Ben are lucky to come away with minor injury’s but with long ish term recovery. Hopefully both can be fit for R2 in June.

Very tough job on over the past week.

Fitting the fairing was the easy part now it fits the chassis….. matching the engine to the airbox then making it work is the hard part. But soon there will be a full mould made so the 765 airbox and fairing match up. 👍🏁

The moment a lot has been waiting for…..

Drum roll please for Ben Birchall…. 🥁👍

Since having Ben on one of my chassis Ben’s work to help the project has been a great help.
In 2025 Ben had the task to get a LCR fairing to fit a RYDE chassis which he did.
The next challenge was Ben needed a new fairing for 2026 and we all know I only make a large style fairing which is too wide for most drivers. But over the winter Ben’s put a lot of effort into a new 2026 design and now there is now a mould with a smaller cockpit and fits the chassis, also lower rear end to suit the 13” rear tyres 🎉🍾🎊

These are made by Ged and supplied through Ben. An airbox is also available to suit the fairing but that’s up you.

Let’s have a throwback Friday….. the day the RYDE500 made music to my ears 😍😍

Just to keep you all up to date Mk2 engine is steadily being designed on our CAD software and hopefully get CNC machine over April. This engine will be a fully ready to race engine.

Lots work but will make a better product in the end.
