Bale-ieve it or not… they actually did it!

Our Mens 3rd Team and The Valkyries - DRFC Ladies Team headed over to Ashby St Ledgers for their 3rd annual Bale Push Competition.

The challenge? Push a giant bale 360 metres around a course packed with obstacles.

There was plenty of cheering, plenty of determination, and many sore arms and legs afterwards!

Both teams took on the challenge head-on and did a brilliant job representing Daventry.

Congratulations to both teams on their efforts.

September. The season opens on the 26th.

Sponsors Day on the 19th — 1XV at home to Broadstreet, 3pm. The Valkyries at home twice, Sundays 13th and 27th. Minis & Juniors every Sunday at 10. Training as always: men Tuesday and Thursday, Valkyries Monday and Wednesday. All welcome.

That is the standard. Four weeks of pre-season done, no games to show for it, and not one session missed.

The proving ground.

Phatphi Dip captains the 3XV again with Jon Davies alongside him, in Warwickshire 1 after finishing second last season.

They open at home to Spartans II on Saturday 26 September, and on that opening day they are the only Daventry side playing at home. If you want to watch rugby at the club that weekend, this is the one.

Tue and Thu, 6:45pm, if you want a game.
