Full-time: 5–3 to the Purples! 🟣⚽️

After a weekend off, Daventry Ladies were on the road again and returned to the pitch with a bang — securing a thrilling 5–3 victory over Corby Reserves in a game full of determination and goals!

Despite a challenging day with a reduced squad - battling through injuries and time in the sin bin — the team dug deep and showed real character to come out on top. 💪

Poppy was unstoppable up front, netting all five goals, including a first-half hat-trick — an incredible performance that proved the difference. 🔥

Player of the Match went to Grace, who put in a standout shift in midfield — breaking up play, driving the team forward, and showing relentless work rate from start to finish. 🤩

Another 3 points in the bag, and momentum building nicely. Next up: Heyford away in the cup. Let’s keep pushing! 💜⚽️

Daventry Town Ladies are looking to expand their team! We are looking for players to join us for preseason and into the upcoming 25/26 season.

We are on an upward trajectory, finishing the 23/24 season bottom of the league with only 1 win, then going on to finish 3rd in the 24/25 season. We will be upping our competitive play and will be pushing for more next season.

This weekend our DTFC Ladies take a team over to Thrapston for their annual Tournament. It'll be our last tournament for the summer and with a few of our players making their debut in last week's Tournament, we look to progress even further. Come and support the Ladies on Sunday at Thrapston Sports Club, Chancery Lane, Thrapston, NN14 4JL. Games start at an earlier time of 12:00 due to the Women's Euro Final 💜

Yesterday our Daventry Ladies took 2 teams to the DTFC Super 6 Tournament. What a day it was. We knew it wasn't going to be easy as we play new teams from out of county and leagues above us. Our Ladies from both teams put their all into their games and we welcomed some of our new players to make their DTFC debuts. Games were 8 minutes each in the table matches, then 10 minute games from the 1/4 final onwards.

DTFC Purples finished their table joint 4th and made their way through to the semi-finals of the Bronze Cup where sadly they were knocked out in the 5 minute Golden Goal phase. Goalscorers: Jode and Poppy

DTFC Whites finished their table joint 1st and went through to compete for the Silver Cup however were unfortunately knocked out in the 1/4 finals in the 5 minute Golden Goal phase.

We have had an astounding amount of applicants this year to enter teams from all leagues and out of county leagues as well, meaning a lot of the teams entered won't have faced each other before. This promises to be a fantastic afternoon of Women's football.
Daventry will have 2 teams competing in this jam-packed afternoon so come and support them from 1330pm onwards.
Location is the Sports Park, Browns Road, Daventry, NN11 4NS.

What a day for our Daventry Ladies. They went the whole tournament unbeaten until the final which went to Sudden Death Penalties and they lost 3-2. They played against teams in their own league and a couple in the league above, and came out in second place. What an achievement, especially as they havent played a competitive game since March. These Ladies have gone from strength to strength in the past year and their efforts are showing.
For some of our younger players, this was their first tournament and they took to it like a duck to water. So proud of our DTFC Ladies 💜

Come and support our Daventry Ladies at their first tournament of the summer held by Kingsthorpe Jets Ladies Football. It'll be a jam packed day with games kicking off at 0930am.

Daventry's Schedule is as below:

VS Corby Town Reserves - 09:41

VS Desborough Yellows - 11:09
VS Desborough Blues - 12:04
VS Corby Town First - 12:59
VS Heyford Athletic - 13:43
VS Kingsthorpe Jets - 14:16

There will be a food court and Kingsthorpe have set up dedicated parking, so please use this and don't park on the residential streets as there will be traffic enforcement officers in operation.

Our Ladies are really looking forward to this as it will be their first competitive meeting since the season ended over 2 months ago, and we all love a tournament! 💜

PLAYERS WANTED

DTFC Ladies are looking for Defenders and Midfielders to join our team. Daventry Town Ladies are an inclusive and diverse group of women, with ages ranging from 16 to 40, who are dedicated to getting the best out of each other both on and off the pitch.
Our team has improved so much over the past season, going from bottom of the league in the 23/24 season, to 3rd place in the 24/25 season, and are looking to push and improve even further for the 25/26 season. Preseason has already started, so would be beneficial for anyone who is looking at getting back into football after a break, or people who are looking to push their fitness levels.
Experience is preferred but not essential.
