You could become a match official whether you’re a current player, returning from injury, a coach, volunteer, parent, student, or completely new to rugby.

You don’t need years of playing experience or to know every law. Our free Introduction to Match Officiating courses will teach you the basics, build your confidence and help you get started.

Scottish Rugby are running Introduction to Match Officiating courses at Stirling County RFC and nearby Scottish Gas Murrayfield in August, along with a later course at Ross Sutherland Rugby Club in October.

Well done Perthshire Rugby winning the referees hospitality award 🥇

A proud moment for Perthshire Rugby Club as Craig Halley and Ewan MacKessack-Leitch from the Caledonia Midlands Rugby Referee Society visited to present the Referee Hospitality Quaich.

Interim Club President Graham Binnie accepted the award on behalf of the club, recognising the warm welcome our volunteers and players offer throughout the season.

A big thank-you to the refereeing community for this honour - it means a great deal to everyone at Perthshire Rugby. 🖤💛🏉

The society is deeply saddened this week following the news of the passing of a long-time member, Bayne Shaw, who dedicated his time as both a referee and a referee coach.
Our heartfelt condolences are with Bayne's family and friends during this difficult time. Those who had the privilege of knowing Bayne will cherish the memories of his contributions to the rugby community.
