Three weeks after the end-of-season renovations and the pitch at Adopstar Park is already looking superb 👏🌱

A huge amount of hard work goes on behind the scenes every summer and it’s great to see the surface coming through so well already. Credit to everyone involved in the renovation work and upkeep of the pitch ahead of the new season ⚽💪

A really tough evening, but plenty for Cully Reserves to take pride in.

Being reduced to 9 men changes the entire shape of the game, and from that moment it was always going to be a huge ask against strong opposition.

What can’t be questioned is the effort. Cully kept going, kept competing, and didn’t fold when the game started to run away from them. That says a lot about the group and the character in the squad.

Not the result they’ll want, but plenty of heart shown when it would’ve been easy to collapse. Overall a great season from the team…champions of division 3, runner-up in the Bill Slee Cup…. Congrats to Railway FC. Until next season…

FULL-TIME — Railway 5–1 Cullompton

A game completely defined by Cullompton being reduced to nine men.

At 2–1, Cully were still in it and even creating chances despite the disadvantage, showing real character. But as the game went on, the gaps inevitably opened up.

Railway capitalised ruthlessly:

* 3–1 killed the contest
* 4–1 & 5–1 followed as fatigue and space took over

Cullompton’s effort can’t be questioned, they battled right to the end, but playing so long with nine men against quality opposition was always going to be a huge ask.
