An idyllic parkland course in a peaceful rural setting, Onneley Golf Club offers a relaxing and rewarding experience for all levels of golfer. With superb panoramic views across the counties of Staffordshire, Cheshire and Shropshire, the course favours the straight, rather than long hitters. We are ideally situated only 20 minutes fr

om M6 junctions 15 and 16, on the A525 Newcastle-under-Lyme to Whitchurch road, adjacent to the Wheatsheaf Inn, where accommodation is available for travelling golfers. Society and Visitor offers are available throughout the year and our membership is currently open, with no joining fee. Whilst Onneley Golf Club is relatively modest, it is renowned for its friendliness and warmth of welcome. As a private members club it is very proud of the high standards it maintains and of the facilities it can offer to visitors and societies. Please note that we operate a strict dress code that must be adhered to both on the course and in the clubhouse.

Onneley Golf club held their Lady Captain’s day yesterday. The weather was beautiful if a little warm. Our Ladies and Juniors enjoyed a halfway house with food and drinks. After the game we held a presentation on the terrace of club house. The Juniors played a 9 hole competition, the winner with a score of 23 points was Tobias Wood.
The ladies played 13 holes due to the heat and the winner with a score of 28 points was Helen Van Den Berg.
After the presentation the Juniors enjoyed burger & chips followed by ice cream, and the ladies were served an amazing buffet by Amanda and her staff. Well done to all the winners. An excellent day, thank you to everyone who helped and took part. Irene Lady Captain.

You can control several aspects of an away day but you can't control the weather and what a scorcher it was. 51 players battled through the day on a very good Astbury course in great condition; a proper test. I am absolutely delighted that so many came to support me and hopefully went away having enjoyed the day. Various prizes were on offer from nearest the pin to the best stableford score. Top honours in the mens section went to Bryan Maddock and in the Ladies section to Helen Van Den Berg. Ian Sinclair had a stellar day with 3 prizes, with the only 2 of the day, nearest the pin and lowest gross score.
My thanks to all who attended, and congratulations to all the prize winners. Well done everyone.

Onneley Lady Captain held her away day at Hill Valley yesterday. 44 golfers played the Emerald course. We were lucky with the weather, with only a few showers. Followed by Dinner, Drinks and the prize presentation.
