What a few weeks it’s been for Crewe Golf Clubs superstar, Morgan Bollan! ⛳🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

It all started at the European Girls’ Team Championship in Zürich, Switzerland, representing Wales. After a tough stroke play stage, Morgan went unbeaten in the match play, winning all 3 of her matches against players from Slovakia, Norway and Scotland.

Next came the European Young Masters in Spain, where 33 nations competed with teams of two girls and two boys. Morgan finished an incredible 10th overall, with rounds of +4, +2, +1, making her the highest-placed Great Britain & Ireland player, while Wales finished 13th overall. A fantastic week for the whole squad, and with Morgan still only U15, she’ll have another opportunity next year if selected.

It was then straight back to Heathrow before joining the Cheshire Ladies team for the National County Finals. Morgan won all 4 of her singles matches, including a dramatic victory in the final against Yorkshire that went to the 20th hole, where she chipped in after refusing to concede. An unforgettable moment as Cheshire Ladies became National County Champions for the first time in 30 years. A huge congratulations to the entire team and support staff on an outstanding week.

Next stop… Scotland! Morgan will represent Wales at the Home Internationals before staying on to compete in her first R&A Girls’ Amateur Championship at Craigielaw Golf Club.

We’re incredibly proud of everything she’s achieving and can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer brings. 💙💛❤️

🏆 Cheshire Senior Men’s Strokeplay Championship 2026 🏆

Crewe Golf Club hosted the annual .Golf Senior Men’s Strokeplay Championships.

Congratulations to Gareth Bradley (Bramhall GC), our 2026 Cheshire Senior Men’s Strokeplay Champion! Gareth adds a second title to his name, having previously lifted the trophy in 2019.

The Championship, first played in 1970, is a prestigious 36-hole medal competition contested over two days. The record remains with Roy Smethurst (Crewe GC), who has claimed the title an incredible 10 times, including six consecutive victories from 1998–2003.

Congratulations also to all our prize winners, including those finishing 2nd and 3rd, along with the Best Gross and Best Nett winners across the age categories.

A special mention to Robert Reid and Bob Walker (Crewe GC), who both claimed Best Gross honours in their respective age groups.

Finally, Cheshire Golf extends its sincere thanks to our host club for the outstanding hospitality shown to all players and officials throughout the championship. We are incredibly grateful for your continued support of County Golf.

Our thanks also go to Captain Steve Johnson and the members who generously volunteered as spotters around the course, and to Steve for joining us at the prize presentation.

🎉 Congratulations to our young greenkeeper, Dan Brown, on successfully passing his Golf Greenkeeper Level 2 apprenticeship with a Merit! 👏⛳

🏆 The Haslington Hawk 2026 🏆

Today, Crewe Golf Club proudly hosted our 36-Hole Scratch Competition, The Haslington Hawk.

A huge thank you to our sponsor, Cameron’s Select Spanish Development, for their fantastic support. Despite challenging conditions throughout the day, our strong field battled the elements, and the course was presented in outstanding condition.

Congratulations to our 2026 Haslington Hawk Champion, Oliver Reid, who lifted the trophy with an impressive score of 144! 👏⛳

🏌️‍♂️⛳ What a fantastic day at Crewe Golf Club for our Ryder Cup-style match, with Team USA taking on the Rest of Europe, all to raise funds for Prostate Cancer!

After a closely contested battle, Captain Dave Morry and his team emerged victorious with a hard-fought 4½–3½ win. Congratulations to everyone who took part and made the day such a success.

A huge thank you to Dave Webster and his wife Jenny for their incredible organisation and dedication in putting on this event. Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, an amazing £1,872 was raised for prostate cancer charity and awareness.

Special thanks also to Eddie Parker and his wife for looking after us so well throughout the day.

Most importantly, the event highlighted the importance of raising awareness of prostate cancer in men. David hopes this will become an annual fixture at Crewe Golf Club, helping to raise even more awareness and support for this important cause in the years ahead.
