⚡️ SHOUT OUT TO THESE COWES THUNDER GIRLS! ⚡️

These girls seriously do not let up! 👏

They’ve been absolutely non-stop lately with their fundraising, coastal challenge training and everything that comes with preparing for their huge trip — but they’ve also continued to keep up with regular friendlies and getting out on the pitch! ⚽️🔥

Most recently, the girls took on Gurnard Panthers in another fantastic game.

The Panthers started really strongly, creating plenty of chances and putting Thunder under pressure early on. But it was Elsie P on debut who broke the deadlock in the second quarter, picking the ball up on the left, cutting inside and firing an absolute beauty into the top corner! 🚀🎯

The Panthers continued to push throughout the game and were eventually rewarded with a great goal of their own — an impressive, slightly acrobatic finish from close range! 👏

A brilliant game played in exactly the spirit we love to see, with both sides playing some really good football and giving everything.

It was been a pleasure to be involved in a fixture supporting both teams, and we’d like to wish Gurnard Panthers all the very best for the season ahead! 💙⚽️

As for these girls… they just keep going.

💙 WHAT A TEAM! 💙

What a day for the girls at The Isle of Wight Community Club - Cowes🙌

The girls absolutely smashed it, spending the day volunteering, running stalls, getting involved and working together to raise money towards their upcoming trip to Butlin’s. 🏆⚽️

From their homemade decorated rocks 🪨, to the penalty shootout ⚽️🥅 and our inflatable challenge the thunder competition , there was something going on all day!

A huge thank you to Paul at Isle of Wight Community Sports Coaching for donating the inflatable and helping us make the fundraiser possible, a really great product and available for hire so make sure to drop him a message. 💙

What was perhaps the best part of the day was seeing the girls, parents and guardians all working together. They’ve put so much effort into raising money for a tournament they’re all incredibly excited about, and they’ve genuinely earned every penny.

And what a total…

💰 £402.85 raised in one day! 💰

That’s an incredible achievement and something they should all be so proud of.

Days like this are about so much more than fundraising. The girls have worked together, supported each other, had fun and, most importantly, grown even stronger as a team. ❤️

They’ve shown exactly what being part of a team is all about.

So, so proud of every single one of them.

🎉 THEY DID IT! 🩷⚡️

What a way to finish our Cowes Thunder Coastal Challenge! 🌊🥾

This Sunday, the girls returned to Yaverland Beach, completing the final section from Ryde to Yaverland — and what a challenge it was! Some seriously gruelling hills, tired legs and plenty of tough moments, but the girls smashed it as usual! 💪

They let absolutely nothing get in their way. They just kept going, kept encouraging each other and kept putting one foot in front of the other until they reached the finish. ❤️

They set themselves a huge challenge and they’ve completed it together. We honestly couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them. The determination, resilience and teamwork they’ve shown throughout has been incredible. 🥹

And now there’s just £26 left to reach their £1,500 fundraising target! 🎯

Can we get them over the line and even closer? 🙌

This tournament is incredibly expensive, with an average weekend costing around £1,200 per family, so every single penny raised really will help. Anything they raise over the £1,500 target will go towards helping with those costs and making this amazing experience possible for the girls. 🩷

They’ve done the hard part — can we help them finish the job?

⚡️ COME DOWN & SUPPORT COWES THUNDER! ⚡️

Our girls have been working incredibly hard, and today is a great chance to come down, support them and see what they’ve been getting up to! 💙⚽️

⚡️ A special session with Coach Elliot! ⚡️

Following his England Talent ID session on the Isle of Wight, Coach Elliot returned to the island to put on a session for our Cowes Thunder girls — and what a session it was! 💙⚽️

The girls were challenged with some really high-level coaching points and technical detail, much of it well beyond what they would normally be exposed to at their age and level.

But what stood out most was their attitude. They didn’t get frustrated, they didn’t switch off and they certainly didn’t give up. They listened, persevered, asked questions, kept trying and absolutely smashed it. 👏

Elliot was so proud of them and could see exactly what makes this group so special. They might still be developing as players, but their willingness to learn, work hard and embrace challenges is something really special.

A huge thank you to Elliot for giving the girls your time and delivering such a brilliant session. They absolutely loved it! ❤️

And of course, it made it even more special after the girls had the chance to be mascots for Elliot and Horndean First Team at Horndean vs East Cowes Vics. 🦁⚽️

Coach Jasper smashes Snowdon! 🏔️💙

When it’s not the girls smashing their walks… the coaches keep busy! 😂

Coach Jasper has only gone and smashed Snowdon this weekend — and of course, he took his Cowes Community FC jumper with him! 💙⚽️

Jasper has been part of our walks throughout the challenge and was gutted to miss this one, but what a reason to be unavailable! 😂🙌

A massive shoutout to his sponsor, So Much Dough, for supporting Jasper and helping make this challenge possible! 👏💙

We’ll see Jasper back with us for our FINAL WALK as we look to finish this challenge in style!

The girls haveeee done it again! 😭👏 East Cowes ➡️ Ryde — SMASHED IT!

Once again, they showed the attitude, determination and resilience that has made this challenge so special. When it gets tough, they keep battling. When they’re tired, they keep pushing. And they continue to show everyone that nothing is impossible! 💪💙

And now look where we are…

We are SO close to our £1,500 target, and with just 16KM left of the entire challenge, we’ve got everything to play for!

There are now just TWO POSTS LEFT from this challenge — this one and our final walk from Ryde ➡️ Sandown.

England & Chelsea star Aggie Beever-Jones has heard all about our journey and has sent the girls a brilliant message congratulating us on entering the Hampshire Girls’ League! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿💙

And with our fixtures now officially announced, we couldn’t think of a better time to share it…

Our first-ever Hampshire League fixture is AWAY TO WI******ER! 😍⚽️

The next chapter of our journey is about to begin, and we’re absolutely buzzing! 💪

What An Incredible Day For Cowes Thunder! 💙⚡️

What an incredible day for our Cowes Thunder girls! 🥹💙

We were invited down by Coach Elliot from Horndean FC, with our girls given the amazing opportunity to be their mascots for the day! 🙌⚽️

A huge thank you to East Cowes Victoria AFC for welcoming us to their home pitch and to both clubs for putting on such a fantastic match of football. The girls were made to feel so welcome by the players, staff and supporters, and they absolutely loved every minute of it!

The generosity from the fans was incredible too, with everyone digging deep and donating their spare change and whatever they could to support our fundraising efforts. Together, they raised an amazing £84.35! 💙

And if that wasn’t already a great enough day for the girls, we’ve just received the incredible news that Horndean FC’s First Team and staff are adding a further £100 to our fundraising efforts! 😍🙌

That means £184.35 raised from one incredible day! 💙

This is exactly what this challenge is all about — inspiring these girls, creating memories and showing them what can happen when football communities come together and get behind them. ❤️

A massive thank you once again to East Cowes Vics and Horndean FC for having us down, putting on a great match of football and being so incredibly welcoming. It genuinely means so much to us and the girls. 👏

And now, it’s time for the penultimate walk! 🥾

Today the girls are setting off from East Cowes to Ryde as we get closer and closer to reaching our fundraising goal.

We are SO close now! 🙏
