Miss isle I have cerebral palsy & sail my boat Miss Isle by breath via sippuff tech designed by my Dad.

Hi I'm Natasha, I am 23 years old and I live on the Isle of Wight with my Mum, Dad and Sister. I have athertoid cerebral palsy which affects all my limbs and speech. My Dad has developed a system and converted boats using electronics integrated to rams and winches and via a helmet so that I can sail by breath control using a sip puff system. I usually sail my boat called MissIsle around the So

lent but I am currently sailing a converted catamaran called Blown Away around the Caribbean after a successful Atlantic crossing in December!

Our trip down to Lanzarote started off a little stressfull , at night avoiding the many little tiny fishing boats and pots and one boat that circled us closely and uncormfortably luckily didnt meet any Orcas that have been reported in the area attacking sail boats. The rest of the days went smoothly, downwind in around 16- 20knots and Blown Away cruising nicely 8-9 knots plus. Lots of nice meals and laughs on board arriving in the dark in Lanzarote. A couple of days rest and now on our last leg of the trip for now to Gran canaria

Deja Vu ! 5 years ago we were here in the same place La Linea Spain and Gibralter, on our way to the Canary Islands prior to our Atlantic crossing. Well I loved the adventure so much that this November we will be setting off again to cross the Ocean !
Have just left for Lanzarote and currently off the coast of Morocco 😊

A really lovely successful whistlestop tour of Mahon, Menorca. Exciting dinghy trip all round one of the Worlds biggest natural harbours . Impressive Forts dating back 16th centurary to 19 centurary lots of history mixed with newly built villas etc.
Firstly A rig check by sailpower Menorca ✅ picked up Rachel who flew back to the boat following a few days away, provisions fuel water and lovely spanish meal in town. ....And finished with an engine impellor change as we headed out ! Currently sailing through the Balearic Islands and next stop ........ Alicanti 😉

One week ago we said goodbye to friends in Greece and set sail as the sun went down , and across to Italy. Crossing from Lefkas to southern Italy in 48 hours, motoring at first as very light wind ,but the wind filled in by 8am and we had a beautiful sail over to Italy. Staying one night in a tiny marina with an incredible view of Etna watching dolphins and tuna. Next day we sailed through the straights of Messina and its very strong tides whirpools and traffic. Watched the fishing boats with their towers spotting for swordfish.
A couple of days in the Aeolion Islands hiking Volcanos, swimming and snorkling, and now just completing a night sail to Palermo for a stop, crew change and provisions 🇬🇷🇮🇹
