(1)

🌍 A 15-month sailing adventure around the world.
⛵ World ARC brings sailors together to explore oceans, remote islands and cultures while sharing the journey of a lifetime with a global fleet. It departs Saint Lucia in January and returns there in April in the following year. The route takes the fleet east to west through the Panama Canal, across the Pacific Ocean, visiting the Galapagos Islands,

French Polynesia, Niue, Tonga, Fiji and Vanuatu before making landfall at the halfway stage in Australia. From Australia, the route crosses the Indian Ocean, via Bali, Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Mauritius and La Reunion before arriving in South Africa for Christmas and New Year. The Rally then crosses its third ocean, the South Atlantic, before visiting Brazil and Grenada and finally concluding in Saint Lucia. The wait is over… World ARC 2028–29 is now open for entries!

For some of you, sailing around the world has been a dream for years. For others, perhaps it’s something you’ve only recently started to think about. Either way, if World ARC is on your horizon, now is the time to start making it happen.

Over 15 months and 26,000 nautical miles, you’ll cross oceans, explore incredible islands and experience cultures and places that few people ever get to see. But ask anyone who has sailed with us and they’ll tell you that the places are only half the story.
It’s the people.

The friends you make along the way. The boats you look out for. The shared meals, sundowners, celebrations and stories. The moments when you help each other through the challenges and the feeling of arriving somewhere new together. Over time, a fleet of boats becomes a community - and that community can feel very much like family.

So, if you’ve been dreaming about sailing around the world, don’t put it off for another year. Places are limited and the fleet will fill, so the sooner you enter, the sooner your dream becomes a plan.

Start dreaming about the places you’ll visit.

Halfway Around the World!

Our World ARC 2026-27 fleet has now arrived in Mackay, Australia, marking an incredible milestone – the halfway point of their circumnavigation!

To celebrate, the fleet enjoyed a magical sunrise beach wallaby tour, Mackay Adventure before coming together for last night’s prizegiving to recognise just how far they’ve come and everything they’ve accomplished together so far.

As we reach this halfway stage, it’s also time to say farewell to a few of our boats as they leave the rally. We wish each of them fair winds, safe sailing, and unforgettable adventures ahead, and we hope to see them again when World ARC comes back around next year.

At the same time, we’re excited to welcome a number of new boats to the fleet for the second half of the rally. It’s always a pleasure to reconnect with familiar faces from previous World ARC editions, while also welcoming new crews who are joining one of our rallies for the very first time.

Before the adventure continues, the fleet will now enjoy a well-earned free cruising period, giving crews the opportunity to explore the spectacular Great Barrier Reef at their own pace. From secluded anchorages and vibrant coral reefs to unforgettable wildlife encounters, this is one of the highlights of the World ARC experience. The fleet will then regroup in Darwin, ready for the second half of the rally, which gets underway on 8 September.

Thank you Mackay Adventure for some of the lovely photos of the fleet.

The World ARC 2026-27 fleet has now departed beautiful Vanuatu and are making their way towards Australia, where they'll complete the first half of their circumnavigation.

But it's the memories of Vanuatu that will stay with the fleet long after the anchor has been raised.

From joining local children for beach clean-ups to standing in awe of one of the world's most active volcanoes, every stop offered something unforgettable. Yet, more than the spectacular scenery, it was the people who made the greatest impression.

The warmth, generosity and sense of community found throughout Vanuatu is truly remarkable. Life here is simple, but it is rich in the things that matter most - kindness, friendship and genuine happiness. Time and again, our World ARC crews leave inspired by the reminder that you don't need very much to live a contented and fulfilling life.

Every year, our fleets speak so fondly of the incredible welcome they receive, and this year has been no exception.

Thank you, Vanuatu, for opening your homes, sharing your culture and making us feel so welcome. It has been an unforgettable few weeks, and we already can't wait to return next year. ❤️🇻🇺

📍 Port Resolution, Tanna, Vanuatu

Some places leave a lasting impression long after you've sailed away.

Port Resolution is one of them.

Nestled beneath lush green hills, this remote anchorage feels a world away from the pace of modern life. There are no marinas, no crowds and no distractions - just crystal-clear water, incredible scenery and one of the warmest welcomes you'll find anywhere on the World ARC route.

It's a place where crews can visit a traditional Kastom village, experience a culture that has remained largely unchanged for generations and, as the sun sets, stand on the rim of one of the world's most accessible active volcanoes as it erupts into the night sky.

Year after year, we hear the same thing from World ARC participants: Port Resolution is one of the highlights of the entire circumnavigation. It's one of those rare destinations that captures your imagination and stays with you forever.

🌍 If you've sailed the World ARC, we'd love to know...

Which destination was your favourite, and what made it so special?

Share your memories in the comments—we can't wait to hear your stories. 💙
