Crossing the Atlantic since 1986! The ARC is the world's most successful ocean sailing event. It has taken place every year since 1986. Every November over 200 yachts set off from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and cross the 2700Nm of Atlantic ocean to Rodney Bay in Saint Lucia. The fleet includes over 200 yachts and 1500 amateur sailors from more than 20 countries. These are all people realising their dream to sail across the Atlantic to the sun.

It's all go in Horta!

The docks have been a hub of excitement as our ARC Europe fleet arrive in the Azores after their Atlantic crossing. As more boats start to arrive, the atmosphere in this iconic sailing town just gets better and better 🙌🙌

After over 1800NM of sailing, it's a massive feeling of achievement for the participants as they come into the harbour to be greeted by our team of 'yellow shirts' and meet up with the rest of the fleet for some fantastic social events 😀😀

The first arrivals of ARC Europe 2026 have successfully made it to Horta in the Azores!

After a challenging crossing, it's time to celebrate the awesome achievement of crossing the Atlantic Ocean, making memories which last a lifetime

Horta is an iconic sailing port. Boats who arrive there after an Atlantic crossing usually decorate the quayside with a small painting from their crew. It's a colourful spectacle which celebrates the fantastic diversity of the international sailing community

We look forward to welcoming the rest of the fleet into port over the coming days. You can track their progress on our website or on the YB Races app.

Professional round-the-world sailor Vicky Ellis is used to leading crews through emergencies, but negotiating with a five-year-old in the middle of the Atlantic is a whole new challenge.

When their Moody 44, Canopus, suffered a rigging failure during the ARC+ rally, Vicky had to bridge the gap between "professional skipper" and "mother."

Around 38 hours after leaving Bermuda, the ARC Europe fleet is starting to see the breeze fill in after a calm spell at sea. Across the fleet, crews are beginning to hoist their beautiful coloured sails, bringing bright splashes of colour to the Atlantic horizon.

We’ll continue to watch their progress as they make their way eastward across the Atlantic.

Thank you for hosting our ARC Europe fleet!

ARC Europe 2026 - Departing through Bermuda’s iconic “Cut” and out into the Atlantic from the shelter of St. George’s Harbour, crews waved goodbye to the beautiful island after a memorable stopover.

As you can see from the pictures, spirits were high as the fleet headed back to sea - excited for the next chapter of the rally and the dramatic scenery that awaits them in the Azores.

Fair winds to the fleet!
