Come along and help your community rugby club and enjoy a barbecue.

We're looking for volunteers to help tidy the club and are inviting people along on Saturday, July 11th - from 9am-1pm.

We have jobs for all abilities from general cleaning and tidying, grounds maintenance, painting and small DIY jobs and organising club areas.

A barbecue will be held for all volunteers and stay for the England v Fiji game later that day.

Looking for a new sport, a fun challenge, and a great group of friends? Come along to our Girls Rugby Open Day and give rugby a try!

Whether you’ve never picked up a rugby ball before or already play sport, this is the perfect opportunity to experience what girls’ rugby is all about in a welcoming, supportive, and fun environment.

Open to girls aged 9–16 years (School Years 5–11).

Our girls were out and about in Consett today helping to promote girls’ rugby and spread the word about our upcoming Open Day! 🏉

The team did a fantastic job handing out flyers and chatting with members of the community about the opportunities available for girls to get involved in rugby at Consett. Their enthusiasm and dedication are a great example of what our club is all about.

A big thank you to all the girls for representing the club so brilliantly. We look forward to welcoming lots of new faces to our Open Day and continuing to grow girls’ rugby in Consett!

Now we are building something special with women and girls rugby its time to have those difficult conversations about what makes us different from the men/boys game, embracing it and making us stronger.

This session is part of the County Coaches Conference but is open to anyone involved in the women and girls game.

🏉 Stephen Horgan Award Winner – Ella 🏉

A huge congratulations to Ella on receiving the Stephen Horgan Award in recognition of her outstanding contribution, commitment, and hard work at Consett Rugby Club.

Ella has been a fantastic role model both on and off the pitch, consistently showing dedication, determination, and a passion for the game. Since moving up from the boys’ section in 2023, she became one of the founding members of the new era of girls’ rugby at Consett Rugby Club, helping to pave the way for the growth and success of the girls’ section.

This award is a testament to everything Ella has given to the club and the positive impact she continues to have on her teammates and the wider rugby community.

Everyone at Consett Rugby Club is incredibly proud of your achievements, Ella. This recognition is thoroughly deserved, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.
