Consett Rugby Girls joined the D&G 7s squad today at the Darlington DMP Junior 7s 🏉🖤💛💜

A fantastic day of rugby saw the girls secure 2 wins and a draw, earning a place in the Plate Final — and they went on to win it! against a physical opposition 

Great teamwork, determination, and effort from everyone involved. Well done, girls! 💪👏

Last night our U18s joined their team mates from Consett Cobras Rugby and other senior players for their end of season dinner.

Congratulations to Molly for recieving the young player award - it is greatly deserved!!

At the end of June the girls get to celebrate again with Junior Presentations before closing the book on the 25/26 season.

And the final outing of our U18s for this season takes place on Saturday as Consett Cobras Rugby travel north of the border to play in Musselburgh 7s tournament.

What is Rugby 7s?

Originating in Scotland in 1883 Rugby 7s are quick paced games: 7 players playing 7 minute halves!!

The season isnt quite over for our U18s playing for Consett Cobras Rugby .

Today see's Molly and Imogen travel to Whitley Bay with 12 other Cobras to take part in a rugby 10s festival.

What is Rugby 10s?

10 players per team playing 20 minute games (10minutes per side).

Its fast paced and the perfect warm up for their upcoming tour across the border to play rugby 7s in Musselburgh.

U12s signed of the the season at the weekend at the Darlo festival 💜🖤💛

It’s been an incredible season for the girls with many of them playing rugby for the very first time lot of positive results and finished runners up at the Morpeth 7s 🏉

We like to take this opportunity to thank Blaydon who sent 2 incredible young Girls Seren & Grace to play at Consett both girls fully committed to the club play and training week in week out 🖤❤️

Finally we like to give a special thanks to Darran & Jamie who both have stepped in and helped coach the girls & Darren for taking the opportunity to ref every game possible. 👏

Consett/Bishop u14s played their final fixtures together this weekend gone at the Darlo festival
Placing 3rd on the day.

An emotional 🥹 day all round as our partnership comes to an end and a number of girls stepping up to u16s 💜🖤💛🤝💙🩵💙
