🌟 Foundation Lead - East Lancashire Community Foundation 🌟

Passionate about sport, community and creating real change? This is your chance to help shape a brand‑new community rugby foundation launching this September across East Lancashire.

The East Lancashire Community Foundation will work with five fantastic local clubs — Colne & Nelson, Clitheroe, Burnley, Blackburn and Rossendale — delivering everything from toddler rugby to school programmes to walking rugby for all ages.

We’re looking for a motivated, community‑driven Foundation Lead to help us grow, inspire and make a real impact.
💼 Role: Foundation Lead
💷 Salary: £25,000–£26,000 (OTE up to £27,000)
🗓️ Start Date: August 2026

* Leading community & school sport programmes
* Building partnerships with clubs, schools & local organisations
* Supporting new initiatives that boost participation
* Managing coaching staff & ensuring safe, inclusive delivery

⭐️ MERCHANDISE ⭐️

The Nathan Summersgill‑Smith Memorial Day returns on Saturday 11th July 2026, and we’re buzzing to reveal this year’s official merch!

Bucket hats, match‑ball replicas and reusable pint cups will all be available on the day, with every penny of profit going directly to our chosen charities.

The day kicks off with our Touch Tournament at 11am, and the merch stall opens from 12pm. No reservations — once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Plenty of work being done behind the scenes now the season has finished, organised by our amazing volunteers.

Barriers being placed around the pitch, and the clubhouse is having a major renovation to create a new main entrance and to make the entire clubhouse completely wheelchair friendly 👏

🍕☀️ MEMORIAL DAY ANNOUNCEMENT ☀️🍕

We’re delighted to announce that Dough by Bo — an amazing small business run by Sophie and Rob, based in Long Preston — will be joining us on The Nathan Summersgill-Smith Memorial Day 2026 on Saturday 11th July.

Not only do they serve up incredible homemade pizzas, but they’re also known for their mouth‑watering bakes: focaccia, rolls, sweet treats, and so much more. Their passion for quality food and supporting their local communities at various events shines through in everything they make.

And of course, come along on the day to enjoy their food while helping us raise money for The Royal Marines Charity and Scotty's Little Soldiers — two charities doing extraordinary work for military families and bereaved children.
