Bann Rowing Club

Bann Rowing Club Bann Rowing Club is one of the oldest and most successful rowing clubs in the whole of Ireland. www.bannrowingclub.org.uk

Based on the east bank of the River Bann near the town centre of Coleraine, the club has a very active membership, together with an extensive fleet of boats to cater for all kinds of competitive and recreational rowing. Bann Rowing Club welcomes anyone with an interest in rowing and who wishes to train or become a member. The club has produced three of Coleraine's olympic heros. Alan Campbell, and

brothers Richard and Peter Chambers are all currently members of Great Britain's senior rowing squad. At the London 2012 Olympic games they produced a Bronze and two Silver medals for Great Britain. Alan Campbell took bronze in the Men's single scull, while the Chambers brothers took silver in the men's lightweight coxless four.

Well done to everyone who took part in the 2026 Swift Junior Irish Coastal Championships this weekend. The lads rowed well but unfortunately couldn't get amongst the medals this year. The competition was fierce with plenty of great racing, and some coastal 'competitiveness 😀' was sometimes enough to knock the lads out of the medal spots. What a great experience though.
