With the wind absolutely howling, I headed out with James William for a session. The plan was to absolutely smash it, but unfortunately the fish had other ideas 😂

Every rig was sent out baited with sardine, squid and Sandeel, but nothing seemed interested at all!

As the tide dropped away from high water, we were eventually met by a few dogfish and straps.

Definitely not the session we had planned, but sometimes that’s just fishing! 🎣

I was slightly rewarded with this bream 😂

Everyone has their own way of baiting up, but personally, I think bait presentation plays a massive part in fishing.

It’s not just about creating a streamlined bait to help get that extra distance on the cast. Taking a bit of time and care over how you present your bait can make a big difference when it comes to putting it in front of the fish naturally.

There’s no right or wrong way to do it — just plenty of different methods and personal preferences.

Here’s a quick Sandeel and Bluey wrap on the dongle, keeping everything neat and streamlined while still giving the bait plenty of scent and attraction. 🎣

A session absolutely packed with fish! 🎣

Finally managed to find a fishable tide for Gilthead Bream & bass so I headed out with the main man James.

We kept it local as the weather wasn’t the best, and after digging some fresh worm it was straight into the fishing.

The set up was the exodus Match &
2 below the lead rigs with size 2 Tronixpro T34 Worm Surf hooks, baited with fresh blacks.

With double shot after double shot coming back in. We lost count of how many we had, but it was an awesome mixed bag , most importantly, we managed to achieve the target of Gilthead Bream.
